Hey kids!
I think its fairly obvious that when it comes to Femme Fatale Wrestling, 2012 is going to ratchet things up considerably from what we saw in 2011. You’re looking at melee-filled brawls, iron-clad title defenses, returns, debuts, firings, rematches, grudge matches, staredowns, calling-out, factional divides, and manure filled dump trucks. And that’s just the first two shows!

And January is upon us, the bleakest, darkest, coldest month of the year (at least December has Christmas lights illuminating the dreary winter evenings). Reflects well upon the name of our next event doesn’t it? But
with fifteen matches on the dockett, every single title but one on the line (and a new one debuting), comboed with a Future Shock Ladder Match and several grudge matches, I guarantee you that things are going to get way hotter than the name implies!

RANKINGS!
Of course, no Power-X would be complete without starting off with some love to our Top 25. Two people dropped out due to inactivity (the tag team known as Cheers & Jeers; Elizabeth Showtime (last ranked 34th) and Allison Deas (33rd). Combo that with two debuts (although one ain’t gonna be around for long), and two returns, and our list once again swells, bulging up to a rather Rose Jenkins sized 47 wrestlers. Of course that means 22 who didn’t quite make the cut into the main body of the column, those being...

Of these, expect the bottom two (Smith and Black) to be gone next time around. As far as the top 25 goes, don’t expect anything groundbreaking. There was a bit of shuffling, but nothing tremendously major in the rankings this week. In fact, the top 7 all remained firmly locked into place. There is, however, one huge mover, and we start with...

#25- LUMINA FERRARI [+12]
Oh my god, the little Guida lives! Ferrari’s been considered a lost cause for the better part of the last year, but when she made Summer tap, she got a lot of people (including yours truly) looking at her in a whole new light. Lumina’s now on her way to Cold Blooded, and she’s going to have a chance to become the first ever No Surrender Champion. That’s not going to be easy though- not with McCloud and Briese in the ring.

#24- ARABELLA DE ROSSI [+4]
Arabella helped contribute greatly to the Violent Femmes defeat of Amaro and Sanders, and its becoming more and more obvious that the ‘other’ Violent Femme is just as vicious as her partner. Still, Arabella’s sitting out of the ring at Cold Blooded, something that I dont’ think she minds. I have this sneaking feeling that we’ll be seeing her before the night is done, and I doubt the critics of the A-List are going to enjoy what transpires.

#23- CARA STONE [=]
I’m not one to normally give points for chutzpah, but Cara does earn some after her gutsy calling out of Colleen at Breaking Point on Saturday. Now that her target is set, now all that’s left for Cara to do is win the Future Shock Pick Your Poison Ladder Match (FSPYPLM). It won’t be an easy task, but save for actually beating Avilo, Cara has been explosive every step of the way thus far. There’s no reason to believe she won’t walk out with the briefcase.

#22- EMMA MCINTYRE [-1]
This might come as a surprise to some of you, but Emma Mac has not been in the ring since her losing effort against Queen Machine at Violent Night. That’s a long time to go without competing, and settling for being a ring announcer at New Years Retribution likely didn’t do her any favors. Luckily, she’s facing a blind girl at Cold Blooded. Even Emma Mac couldn’t screw THAT up, right?

#21- CRYSTAL HATE [-2]
Crystal’s developed a reuptation of being a break-in wrestler- an opponent for newcomers to test to see what they can do. That didn’t work out so well for Christine Smith, as “The Predator” was quickly turned into prey, and beaten so badly, she was deemed unacceptable talent-wise for FFW (which, given Charity Deas and the Lovehearts, says a LOT), and sent packing. For Hate, it’s Summertime, and the hope of getting another match against Sophie Richards for the Television title.

#20- RAVEN WICKED [-4]
Whether Raven is into pain and suffering or not, even she can’t be too thrilled with the result from Velocity, losing to Camilla again. This time, however, is a bit crippling, as it really sets Raven back in terms of contendership to the Ultraviolence title. Word on the street is that the division is going to be growing, and with Raven out of the picture for the time being, it could be a while before she’s competing for her favorite strap again.

#19- DESIRAE KAIN [-4]
*FFW UNITY TAG TEAM CHAMPION*
THe speedy Frenchwoman came out swinging against Sophie Richards, but the Champion proved to be a bit too much for Desirae to walk out holding double gold. It’s back to the basics for Desi- regroup with Arianna, and fend off a tough Bounce & Pounce team to leave Cold Blooded with the straps.

#18- SHANE SANDERS [-1]
Shane got held up by Arabella, which kept her from saving Eileen and ending with her team going down in defeat to the Violent Femmes. It’s a tough break, you know Shane wanted that one. But the big match is at CB, and it’s against the exact same person who tapped Eileen out- Colleen. Even with her victory over Col at Violent Night, it feels that Shane’s got more to prove here.

#17- QUEEN MACHINE [+1]
Like Emma, Jenny hasn’t been in the ring since their match at Violent Night, and like Emma, it’s probably not the best to be that rusty going into a PPV. Unlike Emma, she’s not facing a blind girl- she’s facing Kitty fuckin’ Stryfe, and if Queenie wants to bring the former Champion down and impress Alexander, she better get some WD-40 on her moving parts, or else she’s going to be leaving Cold-Blooded obsolete.

#16- KELLY MCGUFFIN [+4]
Kelly finally makes her long-awaited PPV debut, and she couldn’t have asked for a better match to do it with. Kelly’s made it very clear that she wants to be a part of the A-List, and fighting Jo McFarlane for the right is something she couldn’t have asked for better. Kelly already has a couple legs up on Jo- the most recent being the Sophia Black incident. Now all that’s left is for Kelly to rise up and take her rightful spot.

#15- EILEEN AMARO [-4]
This really isn’t the way Eileen was hoping to kick off 2012, tapping out to Colleen for the second time in her career. Worse, considering the high emotions running between Eileen, Colleen, and Colleen’s boyfriend Leander Apollo, Colleen hasn’t exactly been acting like the most gracious vicor either, Lording it over Eileen several times. A third crack at Col will be coming sooner or later, you can just feel it, but for now, Eileen is forced to be content to kick the crap out of Alyssa Foxworth instead.

#14- CASEY ATHERTON [-1]
I don’t think winning by disqualification after having her head spiked into a title belt was exactly what Casey had in mind to keep her undefeated streak going, but there’s no doubt she’ll take it. Now for Casey is to prove once again that she’s the greatest Future Shock competitor ever, doing so by besting four other alumni in a ladder match at Cold Blooded.

#13- STARLA MCCLOUD [Returning- Last Ranked 8th on November 17th]
Well, Starla and Isabella didnt’ exactly settle anything the second time around, as the match denigraded quickly into an all-out brawl between the A-List and their opposition. Starla has a chance to make a much more definitive statement, when she goes for a rare second match in as many cycles and faces Wendy and Lumina for the No Surrender Championship.

#12- ROSE JENKINS [+2]
Let’s face it, even together, the Lovehearts (or Twisted Path 2.0, or Elite Threat, Christ they have more names than wins) aren’t exactly a threat. But Rose Jenkins gets points for the absolute, obvious, amazing, destructive, completely pwnzorage way she destroyed Traci and Destiny. But now its seriously put up or shut up time for Rose. There’s no more excuses- she has to beat Cammie at Cold Blooded, and get that Ultraviolence title.

#11- ISABELLA PAZZINI [-1]
Things at Velocity got too out of control for even someone like Isabella to handle, and it cost her a chance at victory over Starla. Still, Isabella could have made a much more dear payment- in the chaos, Starla was set to throw her off the stage, only for Isabella to be saved by Crystal Hilton. I’m sure Isabella will be sure to get a couple of thanks in while she’s taking it to Hilton at CB.

#10- KAITLYNN STRYFE [-1]
That was hardly Kitty’s finest performance, but then again, she didn’t exactly need it against the struggling Charlotte Gage, and she’s now collected the whole set of Danger Queens for her victory mantle. But up net is a match that means way more to Stryfe than ranking positionings or titles. Her marriage is ultimately in the hands of her and her husband, but Lord knows beating the hell out of Queen Machine isn’t going to hurt things.

#9- KATHERINE STRYFE [-1]
So... where in the World is Katherine Sandiego? It’s probably never a good thing when one of your main eventers goes missing right before a Pay-Per-View, but if Cody and Samantha ain’t freaking out about it, then why the hell should I? Besides, its not like the match is gonna be ruined if Stacey and Scarlett just face each other...

#8 SOPHIE RICHARDS [+2]
*FFW TELEVISION CHAMPION*
I say a lot of controversial shit here on the Power X, but here’s one thing I’m fairly certain isn’t going to be met with a lot of debate- Sophie has now established herself as the greatest champion on any level in FFW History. She just added Desirae Kain to her ever growing list of successful defenses, but the line in the TV division is never-ending, with more and more challengers lining up for a shot. Next up will be the winner between Crystal Hate and Summer- could be Sophie’s stiffest challenge yet!

#7- CRYSTAL HILTON [=]
Like I said, the change stops here, as the Top 7 all remain the same. Hilton played an interesting factor during the A-List/Mafia brawl at Velocity. Obviously, she didn’t exactly walk out wearing a Mackenzie Mafia t-shirt, but she emphatically (yet, nonviolently) stopped Starla from throwing Isabella off the stage. While there are several theory’s as to Hilton’s motives, I think you have to go with the obvious one: Crystal wants to do the deed herself on the twenty-eighth

#6- TARA THUNDER [=]
*FFW EVOLUTION CHAMPION*
Jesus, Hanna Elliot and Melanie Avilo? Is it just me or are Evolution Championship defenses getting a bit on the softer side? Either way, Tara’s second defense is awaiting her at Cold Blooded, as she draws the Future Shock 5 Champion. Not entirely confident that Tara can match Colleen’s epic six month reign, but the prognosis of Tara entering February with the belt is a good one.

#5- WENDY BRIESE [=]
To be fair, the contest had already gone to shit, and Starla did strike her first, but that is the first time I can remember Wendy actually interfering in an ongoing wrestling match. And she’s been strangely unapologetic too, which should say something about how badly she wants this No Surrender belt, something she’ll have to go through Starla to get.

#4- COLLEEN [=]
She’s baaaaaack! Two weeks after putting on a clinic and making Chris Strike tap in her hometown, Col did it again, choking out the always persistant Eileen Amaro at Breaking Point to keep the Violent Femmes undefeated. Anyone who accused Colleen of overlooking Shane Sanders the first time around can rest assured that is not going to be happening this time, if it even did to begin with.

#3- CAMILLA PAZZINI [=]
*FFW ULTRAVIOLENCE CHAMPION*
Camilla couldn’t help but get Rose’s goat one last time before Cold Blooded, and she did so coming out and brawling with the behemoth after her win over the Lovehearts/Twisted Path 2.0/Elite Threat. Then again, Rose didn’t exactly take it lying down, and confronted Cammie again later in the evening. The one thing I see here working against Chunks- she’s a natural troll. Is she going to focus more on beating ROse, or pissing her off?

#2- SCARLETT KINCAID
Scarlett’s has to still be fuming from her match against Johnny Moxie at NYR, and she’d be wise to use that irritation and invest it into her upcoming match. Of course, the other object of her ire recently, Kat Stryfe, is suddenly nowhere to be found. Should it turn into Scar and Stacey one on one, does that hurt or help Scar’s chances of being the first ever two-time FFW Champion?

#1- STACEY MACKENZIE
*FFW CHAMPION*
It’s an interesting tell that the members of OMGWTF are heading in opposite directions as Stacey heads into her first FFW Championship defense- her partner Tiffany is struggling over in SVW, something that Stace has to have noticed. It’s mentionable, because that sort of thing can lead to a strain in a partnership, which would lead to a distraction, something that Stacey can ill-afford right now. Either way, she’s going to have to be at her absolute best if she hopes to emerge from Cold Blooded 12-0.

And there you have it, kids! Expect for a HUGE shift in the power structure come next week. PPV’s tend to rattle the status quo significantly. Speaking of which...

INCOMING!
So, Cold Blooded is finally here. Fifteen matches featuring THIRTY-SEVEN wrestlers. That’s a lot of shit going down. So, no time to waste...

#22 EMMA MCINTYRE vs. ALLISON WRIGHT
What’s at Stake: Definitely a bit tougher than your average Charity Deas introduction match, this one should hold sway for both competitors. Allison (aka Allison #4) obviously will want to hit the ground running, while Emma McIntyre probably would like to display a bit more in-ring success than what she’s currently been having. That both of these girls were back in the old EWC should help sweeten the pot.
My Take: It shouldn’t be overlooked that Allison is blind, although that’s something I’ve been assured doesn’t impact her performance much. Still... I just can’t see it (no pun intended). That, and everyone knows that Emma has got to be hungry for a big PPV win, so I’d have to peg her as the favorite here.

#21 CRYSTAL HATE vs. #27 SUMMER
What’s at Stake: It hasn’t been officially announced, but all signs point to the winner of this one going on to face Sopie Richards for the TV title. Crystal’s already had a shot at Richards, but came up short, while Summer is taking this as a consolation prize after losing to Lumina Ferrari in the No Surrender qualifiers. Both girls could use a big win, although I’d say Summer’s probably backed up against the wall a bit more.
My Take: I’m not sure how Summer deals with pressure situations, but I know that Hate is pretty strong in the big matches, and she gave Sophie a hell of a fight last time. She wants to get back there, and while I see Summer putting up an amazing fight, and this turning out to be a potential show-stealer in the early goings, I think Hate will earn her rematch.

#34 ELIZABETH BLACKWELL vs. #38 TABATHA BELMONT
What’s at Stake: On the surface pitting a Future Shock washout against the most undeserving TV title contender since Michelle Taylor screams ‘throwaway match’, but this one could actually be pretty entertaining, given that Blackwell’s been dyking on Tabatha for the better part of the last two months, and the two have taken the phrase ‘sexual tension’ to the next level. Ooh la la!
My Take; Other than that Wendy is going to be completely and utterly offended by this match, it’s tough to make a prediction. Tabatha’s got the experience, if not the accolades to show for it, while Blackwell seems hungrier. Ambition tends to beat experience around here, so I’m gonna give it to the succubus.

#30 ALYSSON GARDNER vs. #39 STEPHANIE SULLIVAN
What’s at Stake: Just pride here baby. This one goes back quite a bit, to a now defunct company called Ring of Beauty. I didn’t watch ROB (there’s a reason that company is now defunct), so I’m not sure on the details, but you can just tell that Aly and Steph don’t like each other from the way they glare at each other. Not pegging this as a show-stealer, but neither is it going to be a bathroom break.
My Take: Aly took a bad loss against Valentine, and she’s going to be hungry for redemption. Sullivan is a part-time wrestler who’s literally done nothing in FFW since joining five months ago, so this seems like a pretty cut and dry scenario. So while I will acknowledge the potential for another upset, I’m picking Gardner all the way here.

FFW NO-SURRENDER CHAMPIONSHIP, TRIPLE-THREAT
#5 WENDY BRIESE vs. #13 STARLA MCCLOUD vs. #25 LUMINA FERRARI
What’s at Stake: Only being the first no-surrender champion. Oh, and something about Wendy and Starla not really liking each other. And Lumina’s continued quest for redemption. Did I mention the FIRST INTRODUCTION OF A NEW FFW TITLE IN OVER A YEAR?
My Take: How the hell is this so damn low on the card? Anyways, the catch of the No-Surrender division is that you can only win matches by Submission only, which, given the time it can take to earn a submission victory, means a triple threat could make for a very interesting contest. Obviously, you know who I’m picking here, but it’s going to be a tough drive. You factor in Lumina’s ability to net a submission from out of the blue, along with the underlying A-List/Mafia feud (even though Wendy’s not officially a member of the Mackenzie Mafia), and this is going to be a very difficult match. Let’s just hope it stays a clean one.

FFW UNITY TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
PINK, INC © (#19 DESIRAE KAIN & #26 ARIANNA MILLAR) vs. BOUNCE & POUNCE (#28 HAYLEY DARK & #33 IGNIS)
What’s at Stake: The tag belts are on the line, with out of the blue champions Pink Inc hoping to defend successfully against Bounce & Pounce, who have patiently waited for their shot ever since earning it back at the October Byte This!
My Take: There’s a lot of similarities here, given that both teams are extremely speedy. Both are also of the alpha-beta type with a dominant, more established wrestler (Kain/Dark) leading a less experienced but still potent partner (Millar/Ignis). Looking at it from that perspective, you gotta give the advantage to Pink Inc thanks to Kain’s leadership (hey, they beat The Flame, so I’m not questioning it). But looking at it from a pure team standpoint, I’d say B&P have the better chemistry. That puts this into toss-up category, but I wouldn’t be shocked if we see new Champions.

#15 EILEEN AMARO vs. #42 ALYSSA FOXWORTH
What’s at Stake: While the brewing war between the A-List and the Mackenzie Mafia is definitley an underlying factor, this goes back even further to the second Chase for the Crown, when Eileen and Alyssa were on the same team in the second round. They had Sarah Richardson beat and ready to be pinned, only for Alyssa to knock Eileen out, and take the honors for herself.
My Take; After a rough couple of months that saw poor Eileen lose to Kain in the Chase for the Crown, then be tapped out by Colleen again last week, she finally is going to have an opponent she can sink her teeth into. And I do mean that literally. Alyssa is going to be torn to shreds by the vengeful Tsunami.

PRISON OF PUNISHMENT
#16 KELLY MCGUFFIN vs. #32 JO MCFARLANE
What’s at Stake: Jo’s spot on the A-List is up for grabs here. After making the stupid mistake of wrestling (a hardcore match, no less) for another company, and becoming too injured to compete, Kelly stepped up to take over, and ran Sophia Black out of the company. Needless to say, Samantha was less than pleased by all of this, and as a reward to the helpful McGuffin, and a punishment to the foolish McFarlane, she set this up.
My Take: It could be argued that Samantha actually set this match up so that a member of her ‘elite’ cadre could actually get to claim a win at a PPV. Wendy has been adamant to me all week that Jo is way better than Kelly, but the fact is, when these two faced back in August, Kelly was the winner. Still, Jo is as adept at pulling a match out when she absolutely needs it as she is squandering the momentum in the aftermath. But I think the anything goes atmosphere favors the much more amoral Kelly, and we’ll be seeing a bit of turnover in the organization.

FUTURE SHOCK PICK YOUR POISON LADDER MATCH
#14 CASEY ATHERTON vs. #23 CARA STONE vs. #45 CHARITY DEAS vs. JENNIFER WILLIAMS vs. JODIE GRAY
What’s at Stake: These Pick-Your-Poison stipulations generally are just the spark people need to get their careers kicked off the ground, and considering that three of the women here are making their official FFW debuts, you can bet they’ll be trying to make a great first impression. Throw in Casey, who’s hellbent on claiming dominion over anything and everything Future Shock related, we’re in for a bumpy ride.
My Take: There’s a lot of ways to look at this. Casey and Charity were in one of these before, although Charity was so ineffective it wasn’t funny, and Casey turned out to be more of a spoiler than a threat. Cara and Jodie have proven they can get along, which could result in them taking everyone else out, and settling it beetween them (not like that ever works). Williams and Atherton are more adept at pissing people off, something that could backfire if all four girls gang up on one. This is a true pick-em, because literally anything can happen here (even a Charity win, which will make me cry). I’d peg Cara as the favorite, but as long as Alex Adonis is at ringside, it’s tough to count Casey out.

FFW ULTRAVIOLENCE CHAMPIONSHIP- LAST WOMAN STANDING
#3 CAMILLA PAZZINI © vs. #12 ROSE JENKINS
What’s at Stake: Obviously, the UV title, although the grudge between these two women go way deeper than any strap. Camilla’s done her best to piss Rose off at every turn, and she’s succeeded. Rose isn’t the kind of woman with a sense of humor, and the fact that Camilla has deftly kept ahead of her every step of the way has got to be grating on her nerves.
My Take: There will be blood. That’s about the surest thing you can bet on for this match. LWS matches can tend to turn into slugfests, which favor Rose, who’s about the only one in FFW who beats Chunks in the power department. But Camilla’s stayed ahead of Rose thus far throughout this tiff, and given how Pazzini against Colleen in a LWS, Rose is going to need to wrestle an almost perfect match if she hopes to become the champion.

#4 COLLEEN vs. #18 SHANE SANDERS
What’s at Stake: This is a rematch from Violent Night, when Shane shocked the world by pulling off one of the biggest upsets in FFW history. Colleen’s had this loss grate on her for the last two months, and she wants a rematch. Ultimately, I see the winner of this getting on the shortlist for the next FFW Championship contender.
My Take: First of all, Colleen’s jumping of Shane to announce her desire for a rematch was a definite bitch move, but at the same time, Sander’s revelation that she feels facing Colleen again to be beneath her is equally headscratching (just look at the rankings, if you need an explanation). Strangely enough, public perception almost puts the burden on Shane here- she needs to prove Violent Night wasn’t a fluke more than Colleen needs to prove that it was. Fluke or not, the last two matches Colleen has had has made me a believer- she’ll take this one.

FFW EVOLUTION CHAMPIONSHIP
#6 TARA THUNDER © vs. MELANIE AVILO
What’s at Stake: The Evolution Championship. Tara makes her second defense, while Mel got her shot by winning the fifth season of Future Shock.
My Take: I hope Mel appreciates the opportunity she has here, being able to just waltz in and get a shot at the Evolution title- normally the road to that belt is a lot longer and more difficult. That being said, save for Raven, every single Future Shock winner thus far has successfully cashed in on her prize (Although, to be fair, Alyson Summers didn’t exactly set the bar high when she went after Sophia fucking Black.) The question will come down to Tara’s mindset- she’s at her best when she knows she’s beatable, otherwise we could have another Hanna Elliot incident. I don’t see Tara letting that happen. Not here.

PARKING LOT BRAWL
#7 CRYSTAL HILTON vs. #12 ISABELLA PAZZINI
What’s at Stake: Pride, for the most part, although this is probably also an unofficial eliminator in determining the next challenger to the FFW Championship. This one’s turned ugly though, thanks to Hilton’s attacks on Isabella’s sister-in-law and friends. It culiminated in a bizarre incident at Velocity, when Crystal stopped Starla McCloud from chucking Isabella off the stage.
My Take: This one may end up being the match of the night. The no-rules atmosphere plays to both women’s stregnth, although it probably favors Isabella a bit more. We’ve seen how brutal Isabella can get when someone’s pissed her off, and I think she’s had enough of the Rose Goddess/Witch/Hagraven. Hilton’s due for a whuppin, and Izzy is just the person to do it.

GUEST REFEREE: ALEXANDER STRYFE
#10 KAITLYNN STRYFE vs. #17 QUEEN MACHINE
What’s at Stake: Officially, just pride. Although the fact that Queen Machine has been very vocal about stealing Kaitlynn’s husband for herself has stirred the pot just a bit. This match may not determine who gets Stryfe, but considering how personal it’s gotten, the winner of this one is going to be making the loser look as bad in Alexander’s eyes as she possibly can.
My Take: Ultimately, though, I could look at this scientifically, and see who actually is the better wrestler, but this one’s a lot easier to predict: The winner of this match will be whoever Alexander Stryfe wants it to be, and after what I just saw at Breaking Point, I’m not entirely 100% sure that one will be Kitty.

FFW CHAMPIONSHIP- TRIPLE THREAT
#1 STACEY MACKENZIE © vs. #2 SCARLETT KINCAID vs. #9 KATHERINE STRYFE
What’s at Stake: The biggest band (of gold) in the land! The grandmammy of them all. The FFW Championship. If it were to change hands, the new champion (either Scar or Kat) will have the distinction of being the first ever two-time champion. This is also Stryfe’s rematch with Stacey, and the clumination of a months-long Twitter snipe-fest between Kincaid and Stryfe. And Stacey is trying to keep her undefeated streak alive. Am I missing anything?
My Take: Stryfe seems to step it up when no one is giving her a chance, and considering that no one actually knows if she’s gonna even be there, I’d say that’s a pretty slim chance from the general population. But before we hand the title to Stryfe, also keep in mind how hungry Scarlett’s been to get back here, fighting back from that injury to get here. And of course, Stacey is ostensibly unbeatable. Ultimately thought, I think that Scarlett’s sense of will and ambition is going to favor her, and she’s going to start 2012 the same way she spent a good chunk of 2011: on top of the world.

Had a tough time getting a volunteer to do awards for some reason this week- everyone seemed to not be up for it or something :(. But there was one person who was “Simply Better”, and gave me some of her very valuable time to type this up. And yes, I am indeed speaking of our current FFW Champion, “The Simply Better Dreamkiller”, Stacey Mackenzie!

Match of the Week
Sophie Richards vs. Desirae Kain
This was just the standout for me; two Future Shock Champions going all out to be the Television Champion. A great technical classic, in a two week cycle which has primarily seen nothing but extreme violence and absolute chaos. This was a stellar effort by both women, but once again, Sophie Richards came out on top, as she always seems to these days. I’d better keep an eye on her... it may not be long before she starts coming after my FFW Championship.

I couldn’t agree more on this one. I got to call this from ringside, and I was every bit as captivated as the fans were. Not sure if I’m about to stick Sophie on that top level just yet, but she’s a dangerous competitor everywhere she goes. But don’t rule out Kain yet either. That loss wasn’t the end for her, and she’ll be back in that picture sooner than you’d think. Anyways, runners up:
- Ferrari vs. Summer (The other match this past cycle with major title implications, Ferrari and Summer battled it out for that last No Surrender spot. It was a phenomenal back and forth classic, won by Lumina in what is considered by many to be an upset)
- McGuffin vs. Black (To quote the great Statler and Waldorf: It was stupid! It was pointless! It was obvious! It was... SHORT! I LOVED IT!)

Winner of the Week
Rebbecca Valentine
Coming off an awesome win at New Year’s Retribution (against me & Tiff, no less), Becca’s celebrations were cut short due to her partner’s mysterious disappearance. But Becca managed to turn it all around, and pick out a huge singles win over Alysson Gardner. This was the perfect time for her to grab the spotlight, and show she can get the job done solo, and I think she did just that. Maybe there’re a future for her as well, outside of being “Kat’s partner”.

Rebbecca Valentine... winner... in the same sentence? 2012 is getting way too many signs of the end of the world for my taste.
- Starla McCloud (yes, her match against Izzy was a no-contest, but there was no denying that Pazzini was getting the upper hand before Adonis interfered, and everything then went to pot, saving McCloud from the asskicking she very much had coming. That’s going to change come Cold Blooded, of course)
- Lumina Ferrari (Where the fuck was THAT for the last ten months?)

Loser of the Week
Raven Wicked
Well, after the fairy tale nearly six months ago now, the bubble has finally burst for Raven. Three straight defeats to Camilla, and she’s out of her favourite playground, the Ultraviolence Championship hunt. And it all looked so promising when she pulled off that huge upset victory back at Unstoppable. It’ll be interesting to see what Raven does now. My vote goes with more abuse of Alvin Shepherd.

I would totally be okay with the creation of an “Aubsing Alvin Shepherd” title, just to keep Raven happy.
- Alysson Gardner (On the flipside of Becca’s big win is this crushing upset of a defeat. Gardner was likely headed for a TV contendership until that one. Won’t say she’s out of it yet, though. She just needs to get back on the horse.)
- Charity Deas (yeah, Charity is always a loser, but seriously. Blackwell could have gotten up, had dinner, found Tabatha Belmont, fucked her twice, and been back in the ring in time before Charity leaped)

Douchebag of the Week
Whitley Mercer
I guess I decided to take this award literally, huh? Seeing as she’ll probably need a douche bag to cleanse her... well, you get the idea. Hehehe. Truth is, Whitley totally punked out and humiliated poor Dani on Velocity, in amazing douchebag fashion. You just don’t pick on people who can’t defend themselves. Then, she came back for MORE this week... but thanks to a certain cuddly manager, she found herself “up shit creek” without a paddle! I guess it was a “crap” day for her, and when asked what she was going to do to Dani in retaliation, she said she was going to “sewer”. Geez. That outfit is gonna be ruined... but it serves the bitch right!

Hehehehehehe... read on Stacey. Read on.
- Jo McFarlane (This just pisses me off, because I had JUST written in a column about how Jo had shaken doubts about her commitment, and then she has to go and get herself injured wrestling for some shitty regional company. And right before a match she had been hand-picked for by our boss too. Priorities, Jo. Fucking priorities.)
- Alex Adonis (Consider him the FFW’s version of Gavrilo Princip. But do you think he had a fucking clue he knew what he was starting when he tried fucking up the Pazzini/McCloud match? Well, he started a war. Guess which side is gonna end it.)

On a side note, yeah, I’m more than happy with the way this turned out. Whitley was playing with fire when she attacked me, but the moment she started fucking with Dani, who hadn’t done a damn thing to anyone and deserved nothing, I knew something had to be done. And I’ve made it clear before, and I will again. If Ms. Mason receives any more negative attention from Shitley Mercer, you can bet what I’ve done to her so far is going to look like a lighthearted prank. And that’s not including the beatdown I’m gonna give that bitch in a couple of weeks, the day after Cold Blooded (which Whitley couldn’t even get a fucking match on), in fact.

The 2011 Power X-Travaganza!

Hey kids.

You might notice, things are a bit different this time.No inspirational thoughts, no awards, no memes, no previews. That’s because this week, we take things tothe next level. Since May, I’ve beenwriting my Power X column, and I’ve been blessed by the absolutely awesomeresponse it has gotten, both from wrestlers and the fans. All in all, I managed to do fifteen columnsover the course of 2011, and I had a blast writing each and every single one. I even had a blast getting some of my colleaguesinvolved. The guest awards were always ahighlight of the column, and often derived the most discussion.

To me, each Power-X serves as a snapshot, a singleframe in the ever-changing landscape of the greatest female professionalwrestling company on the planet. If youread one Power-X to the next, you’ll notice the ebb and flow, as wrestlers moveup and down, based on their successes and setbacks. Throughout the course of the year, or evenjust a couple of months, it’s almost fascinating to watch the landscapechange. The top 10 of January 1, 2012looks very very different than the top 10 of May 1, 2011, the first column thatwas posted.

So, welcome everyone to the Power X-Travaganza. I’ve done one of these before, and I thinkit’s an absolute treat to write, and hopefully to read. Because today, its not about the moment, butthe overall course of the year. Who hadthe best year? Who accomplished the most? Who had the highest highs, and who had the lowest lows?

Using the finest computer technology available to me(Microsoft Excel), I have created a formula to analyze the process of thenumerous women that passed through the FFW gates over the past year, based on asimple points system. This rewards success,longevity, and consistency, three very key traits that are essential to any prowrestling career.

Since the Power-X carries a varying number of wrestlerson a week to week basis, I decided that these rankings would be based on thetop 25 (since the top 25 are the ones essentially highlighted in mycolumn). Therefore, to make the end ofyear rankings, you must have placed in the top 25 at least once. Of the 80 wrestlers that appeared in thePower X at one point or another, 26 of them never got into the top 25, forvarious reasons (either because they weren’t here long enough to get that high,or they sucked. Or both). We immortalize those individuals here:

#53(tie)- MICHELLE TAYLOR (2 points)

The Good: She actually got points. 24^th. In the very first Power X. You should have seen who was below her.

The Bad: Pretty much every other aspect of her tenurehere.

Yes,it’s a sad state of affairs that Michelle Taylor actually managed to get onthis, especially considering some other people listed above. Still, Michelle did have a brief reign withthe Television Championship earlier in the year. Sadly for Taylor, her annoyance of SamanthaStar led to her undoing, and she was spectacularly bounced from the companythanks to an absolutely brutal beatdown from both Camilla Pazzini and RoseJenkins.

The Good: Stealing a win in spectacular fashion overSophia Black in her debut.

The Bad: Being pinned by Summer at Violent Night

Now,hang on. Before someone gets theshotgun, let me be the first to say that there is no way in HELL that I wouldever compare Alysson Gardner with Michelle Taylor. Michelle was a waste of space who tookadvantage of a weak initial field to get on here, while Alysson is ahardworking, talented, beautiful woman who’s working her way up the FFWrankings, but didn’t have enough time to climb higher. You can bet your ass that when the 2012X-Travaganza comes out, Alysson is going to be a LOT later on in the column.

The Good: Winning back-to-back Future ShockCompetitions

The Bad: CARA SMASH!

Cara’sanother one who has really just begun in FFW, but shows great promise to have afantastic year in 2012. With a limitlesssupply of energy, and an army of Care-Bears at her back, is there really anydoubt that Cara Stone is due for some pretty big things?

#51(tie)- ARIANNA MILLAR (3 points)

The Good: Winning the Unity Tag Team Championship inher very first FFW match.

The Bad: Pretty much got her ass handed to her byNikkii Spainhower every step of the way over in SVW. Then had the audacity to blame it on me.

Mostpeople thought that Desirae Kain was out of her mind when she chose the PinkPrincess as her tag team partner. Instead, we promptly got a breakthrough tag team who dethroned theEternal Flame in their very first match! Of course, that means the usually bubbly Arianna now has an enormoustarget on her back. How she manages tosurvive the bullseye remains to be seen.

#50-ARABELLA DE ROSSI (5 points)

The Good: After being knocked off her pedestal inFuture Shock’s bikini joust, Arabella went, well, nuts. She climbed back up, and began what turnedout to be a month and a half long asskicking of poor Hanna Elliot.

The Bad: The number of fines and reprimands FFW hasreceived from ESPN’s standards and practices has to be mind-boggling.

There’slikely better wrestlers in FFW, but you’d be hard pressed to find one moremaniacally violent than this former model from Italy. Arabella arrived in the fourth season ofFuture Shock, and quickly gained a nasty reputation, albeit one she couldn’tcapitalize with entirely, falling to Desirae Kain in the finals. Now a member of the A-List and Violent Femmeswith Colleen, it’s only a fair bet that Arabella’s best days are ahead of her…provided she doesn’t end up in jail.

#49-ALYSSA FOXWORTH (6 points)

The Good: Alyssa managed to make the finals of theSecond Chase for the Crown, doing so by knocking out then-tag partner EileenAmaro to steal a pinfall on Sarah Richardson.

The Bad: Alyssa’s third round in Future Shock 4 turnedout to be her last, as she never even made it into the arena for her match-Arabella caught her backstate, and left her in a puddle of blood. Ironically, the two would later (at leastgrudgingly) reconcile, joining forces in the A-List.

Thesister-in-law-in-waiting of our illustrioius owner Samantha Star, big thingswere expected of Alyssa when she joined the fourth season of Future Shock. For the most part, those big things haven’thappened. After winning the scandaloussecond round in the competition, Alyssa was subsequently bounced just a coupleweeks later, and save for pissing Eileen Amaro off, has been a minimalfactor. So long as Alyssa relies on herwallet instead of her wits, don’t expect this trend to change.

#47(tie)- SUMMER (7 points)

The Good: In truth, it would be her pinning of AlyssonGardner at Violent Night, but Summer’s high point thus far is coming up in justa couple days, when she faces Lumina Ferrari in a No Surrender qualifier, whichwould mean she’d be competing for a title in just her third match in.

The Bad: Got run down by Starla McCloud after hersecond win on Velocity, something that could contain major implications shouldSummer qualify for the No Surrender match.

There’sdefinitely a trend here in the lower reaches of the rankings- young, up andcoming women who just simply haven’t managed to have the time to rise anyhigher. Summer’s one of those thatshould be breaking out of the mold very quickly, especially if she can beatLumina Ferrari in the first match of 2012.

#47(tie)- WHITLEY MERCER (7 points)

The Good: With her partner Gretchen Sanders, beatTwisted Path.

The Bad: Dude, I just said beating Twisted Path was herfinest hour. That should say enough.

Formuch of 2011, Whitley was considered a strong up and comer who was just boundto turn the corner to greatness. Itnever happened, and barely a soul batted an eye when she disappeared in lateAugust. At least until the bitch showedup at New Years Retribution and attacked me, and action that’s going to ensurethat her 2012 is going to be even bleaker than her 2011.

#46-JENNA MCKINLEY (9 points)

The Good: Showed great promise in her debut win overDestiny Loveheart

The Bad: Not quite as promising in her subsequentbeatdown at the hands of Raven Wicked

Jennaentered the FFW in early-May, and was quickly tagged as an up and comer in theUltraviolence Division. Unfortunately,after a tough loss to Raven at Conviction, Jenna never really amounted to much,and left the FFW shortly thereafter.

#45-ARIEL SHADOWS (10 points)

The Good: Beat Traci Loveheart, despite the blatant andrampant interference of Victoria Summers

The Bad: After losing to Crystal Hilton, pulled off amore spectacular post-match tantrum than Crystal Hilton’s EVER done.

Arielentered FFW as Wendy Briese’s good friend, and was considered to be in line forsome fairly big things initially. Butafter a tough loss to Crystal Hilton, Ariel melted down, turning on her friend,and pretty much all but quitting FFW on the spot. She did last one more match- a lame duckperformance at Conviction, before departing for parts elsewhere.

#44-GRETCHEN SANDERS (11 points)

The Good: At Conviction, Gretchen was saddled withabout the worst possible team she could get- Destiny Loveheart, and a ArielShadows who had already poured the gasoline on her bridge with FFW, and was inthe process of lighting the match. Against the team of Wendy, Crystal Hilton, and Kassandra, Gretchenmanaged to more than hold her own, earning her much respect.

The Bad: If the first Chase for the Crown was her highpoint, the second was certainly her low. Gretchen showed none of the tenacity that she had shown back in May, andtook the pin to eliminate her team. Oh,and afterwards, Sophia Black attacked her, damn near killing her and ending hercareer.

Thebetter (albeit less serious) half of the Pwn3d! tag team, Gretchen’s FFW runwas plagued by injuries, first a foot injury just as Pwn3d! seemed to bepicking up steam, and then a neck injury in her very first match back thanks tothe machinations of Sophia Black. A sadstory- Gretchen did have potential, but it just wasn’t in the cards.

#43-LUMINA FERRARI (12 points)

The Good: Won her debut match against RebbeccaValentine

The Bad: After that, it’s kind of been all downhillfrom there, although the lowlight certainly was her and mentor Johnny Moxietaking on Rose Jenkins in a handicapped match, and finding Rose beating them attheir own game.

Luminahas spent the better part of the past 9 months being a Femme Fatale on theverge of breaking out. That hasn’thappen, and the reltatively light schedule she works hasn’t really helped herget over that hump. After being stunnedby Kassandra in a No Surrender qualifier, she kicks of 2012 with a chance toget back to Cold Blooded, but against Summer… I wouldn’t hold my breath.

#41(tie)- KARA HARRINGTON (13 points)

The Good: Not sure which was cooler to watch- hervictory over Crystal Hate, her her Halloween costume, which was, in fact,Crystal Hate.

The Bad: Has done absolutely nothing since then.

Karaseems to have this nasty habit of showing up, wrestling one match, andcompletely disappearing for months at a time. A shame too, since those sparse matches are generally wins, but I guesswhen you’re as well-rested as Kara tends to be, it proves an advantage.

#41(tie)- JO MCFARLANE (13 points)

The Good: Won the Pick Your Poison match at Unstoppablein dramatic fashion, earning her much acclaim.

The Bad: Has serious trouble when there’s less thanfive other people in the ring.

Themuch touted sister of Valerie Belmont, Jo’s foray into Femme Fatale Wrestlingwas less than auspicious, when she found herself getting eliminated in the veryfirst round of the Future Shock 3 competition. While she’s done a decent job of proving initial accusations of herapathy wrong, Jo’s still struggled throughout her FFW tenure. Her two biggest wins thus far have come inclusterfucks, where she was able to fly under the radar, and spring a surpriseat the end. .

#40-HANNA ELLIOT (15 points)

The Good: Pulled off a shocking upset of Tara Thunderjust one match before Tara claimed the Evolution Title.

The Bad: There’s a very good reason that was considereda shocking upset.

On-the-jobtraining can generally lead to some embarrassing moments, and Hanna Elliot isno exception. Despite her spectacularknocking off of Arabella in the bikini joust, and her upset of Tara Thunder,Hanna is as green as they come, and still learning this business. That means there’s a lot of room forimprovement where she’s concerned, so expect her to make great strides in 2012as she gains experience.

#39-IGNIS (20 points)

The Good: As a member of Bounce & Pounce, beat theEternal Flame to put herself in line for a future tag title shot.

The Bad: Bounced from a match, and ultimately FutureShock, by getting disqualified for breaking up a pin. Score one for Alvin Shepherd.

Thesister of the highly touted Undine (and the not quite as highly toutedLightning), the vast majority of Iggy’s success has come alongside her friendand partner Hayley Dark. That cancontinue should Bounce & Pounce upend Pink, Inc to claim the tag belts atCold Blooded.

#38-SAMANTHA STAR (23 points)

The Good: Single handedly used her politicalmachinations to completely and utterly destroy Team SVW at Conviction, a moveso thoroughly dominating that SVW’s owner lost all faith in himself and soldthe company. Even though THAT is whyAnthony Gambini is now my boss, still epic.

The Bad: Called latest handpicked cartel of minions the“A-List”, despite the fact that 75% of them are anything but.

Ithink all in all, our owner had a pretty illustrious 2011. From the War Games screw job to beating upNina Astral’s midget to the absolute shocking betrayal and casting out ofIsabella Pazzini, Samantha’s been a busy girl, always exercising her power inbrutally effective ways. Doubt any ofthat is going to change in 2012.

#36(tie)- AMY (24 points)

The Good: Was quite the shock when she climbed out ofthe Elimination Chamber and presented herself in front of Isabella andScarlett, announcing her return to FFW.

The Bad: Wasn’t a shock at all when she was the firstto go in the Elimination Chamber, and was promptly fired by Samantha about fourseconds later.

Beingthe first ever FFW Champion, Amy provided a definite nostalgia factor tolongtime fans of FFW when she stepped out of the Chamber in early June. But by July, the nostalgia had run out, andfans were more than happy to see her ride off into the sunset after UnstoppableII. She’s now in SVW, her hiringstanding as proof that Anthony Gambini is really truly trying to kill thecompany.

#36(tie)- ALYSON SUMMERS (24 points)

The Good: Won the third season of Future Shock.

The Bad: Provided pure and simple proof that the winnerof Future Shock is not always the best wrestler in the season. Or anywhere close to being so.

Peoplewonder why I don’t run the Future Shock Therapy section of my columnanymore? Well, you can owe it all tothis young lady, as each and every round she advanced in Future Shock killed myfaith in the competition more and more. In fact, it seemed to me that even the FFW brass were ready to wash theirhands of this travesty, especially when Alyson wasted her prize (a matchagainst any member of the FFW roster) on Sophia Black. Luckily, there was one woman- the brave,spunky Casey Atherton, who dared to call this charade for what it was, andafter proving Summers inferior to her at every twist and turn, the haplessAlyson angrily rode off into the sunset.

#35-REBBECCA VALENTINE (25 points)

The Good: With Katherine Stryfe, won the Unity Tag TeamChampionships, enjoying a fairly decent reign.

The Bad: Has struggled horrendously in singles matches.

Itreally makes no sense. There’s nodenying that when it came to the Eternal Flame, Rebbecca actually managed tosomewhat hold her own in that ring. Shepicked up several of the team’s biggest falls, and hasn’t exactly been a burdenon Kat. Yet, you take Stryfe out of hercorner, and Valentine completely and utterly falls apart, to the point thateven my expertise can’t come up with an explanation.

#34-QUEEN MACHINE (29 points)

The Good: Currently undefeated, including a greatmomentum-building win over Emma McIntyre

The Bad: Hasn’t had a chance to prove herself againsttrue top-level competition… yet.

Eversince she made her debut in FFW, Jenny’s made it clear that she wants onething- Kaitlynn Stryfe. (Actually, intruth, she wants Alexander Stryfe back in bed again, but from a wrestlingstandpoint, that means kicking Kitty’s ass). She’ll finally get what she wants at Cold Blooded.

#33-KASSANDRA (30 points)

The Good: In the six-femme tag match at the anniversaryshow, made Robbyn Helmsley submit.

The Bad: Had several opportunities to turn the cornerand make it to the next level, but couldn’t capitalize on any of them.

Kassandrais living proof that you don’t have to win every match you’re in to beenjoyable. After all, there aren’t toomany wrestlers out there willing to travel back in time. Kassandra’s put on a great showing againstsome world-class competition, but ultimately seems to come up short just aboutevery time. With her facing an injurynow, it could be a bit before she manage to get back on the horse.

#32-DESIRAE KAIN (36 points)

The Good: Won Season Four of Future Shock, thencapitalized on that to form Pink, Inc. and win the tag titles.

The Bad: Lost to Casey Atherton, who promptly took herSeason 4 Championship trophy.

Towardsthe end of 2011, no woman flew under the radar more then Desirae Kain, and notcoincidentally, few women picked up as many accolades in as short amount oftime. No one gave her a chance to winFuture Shock… she did, upsetting Arabella de Rossi in the finals. No one thought she and Arianna could wingold, they did, over the Eternal Flame. And no one saw her winning the Chase for the Crown either, but she didas well, holding off Eileen Amaro. Sonow comes the question- can Desirae keep this success up, now that people aregoing to actually see her coming? Iwouldn’t bet against it.

#31-SHANE SANDERS (38 points)

The Good: Defeated Colleen at Violent Night in what waslikely the biggest upset of the year.

The Bad: Lost to Rori Snyder. Twice.

2011was a frustrating one for the girl who’s “Pretty Like a Car Crash”. She returned to much fanfare against RoriSnyder at Conviction… and found herself on the bad end of all kinds ofbullshit. She’d get her rematch atUnstoppable, only for the shenanigans to cost her again. And while both Rori matches were bullshit ofthe highest degree, Shane couldn’t quite avoid getting stamped with the‘underachiever’ label, resulting in her taking some time off. It paid off dividends- at Violent Night,Shane shocked the world when she pinned Colleen in the ring. Unfortunately, the Franchise isn’t taking it lying down(although she did at the time!), and there will be a rematch at Cold Blooded. If Shane pulls it off again, it should proveas a launching point to a VERY profitable 2012.

#30-ANASTACIA BALDWIN (40 points)

The Good: Kept the Power Trip in check, enablingScarlett Kincaid to bring home the bacon at Full Frontal.

The Bad: Technically only had one match.

HadI known when I wrote my first column what I know now, that Anastacia wasn’treally a full-time member of the FFW roster, and was just making a couple guestappearances, I probably wouldn’t have ranked her sixth in the inaugurallist. But I did, so she’s here. To be fair though, that trashing of Rose Astral(and the corresponding epic promo that went along with it), is well worth theforty points.

#29-BELLADONNA (42 points)

The Good: Held the television championship untilConviction.

The Bad: Went on the mother of all losing streaks.

TrixieDivine is living proof how quickly fortunes change in professionalwrestling. At one point, Belladonna wasa top-10 wrestler, undefeated and holding the Television Championship. In just a short span, she lost her title,lost her tag partner Hayley Dark, lost about seven matches in a row, lost hergirlfriend, and eventually lost her job. Personally, I take credit for some of that. I mean, had she not come after me because Ihad the audacity to ridicule Robbyn Helmsley’s annoying obsession with her, shemight still be someone around these parts, and not a punchline.

#27(tie)- CASEY ATHERTON (49 points)

The Good: Has claimed the Season Three and Season Fourfuture shock titles, along with a few other accolades (and a husband) to boot.

The Bad: None of these accomplishments are actuallyreal.

Who’dhave thought that the face of delusion would be such an attractive one? Casey entered Future Shock a nervous rookie,the personal assistant of Starla McCloud. Since that time, she’s pretty much managed to lie, cheat, and steal herway into anything she’s wanted. Obviously, people like Desirae Kain may have a thing or two to say aboutAtherton’s ‘accomplishments’, but let’s be honest, at least she keeps people ontheir toes!

#27(tie)- CRYSTAL HATE (49 points)

The Good: Pulled off a nice win over Jo McFarlane atUnstoppable to get her into serious consideration.

The Bad: Came up short in potential career definingmatches against Stacey Mackenzie and Sophie Richards

We’restill waiting for Crystal to truly turn the corner here in FFW, but truth betold, the wait isn’t exactly a bad one. Crystal is one of the most unique women to grace the Femme Fataleroster, and between her sadistic tendencies, and the even more sadistic ones ofher many, MANY sisters, there’s hardly ever a dull moment when this vixen isaround!

Woo hoo, top 25! (well, 26, damn ties) Just for a note, here, due to the length ofthis column, this took several days to write, and the entries from hereafterwere written AFTER the January 5 Velocity.

#25(tie)- HAYLEY DARK (52 points)

The Good: Resigning her position in the Cherrybombs asBelladonna’s partner. Seriously, thatwas beautiful.

The Bad: Being completely demolished by Crystal Hate’sCeremony of Omens off a ladder at Unstoppable. That was beautiful too, although I don’t think Hayley would think so.

While“The Boing Machine” is hardly the most feared nickname in the industry, itcertainly is a fitting one for the always hyper, always energetic HayleyDark. Spending much of her early timehere being overlooked thanks to the selfish machinations of tag partnerBelladonna, Hayley finally broke out on her own at Conviction (or at least intoa tag partnership with the much more respectful Ignis). Still, respect has been hard to come by,given that B&P is just coming off of another long layoff. Considering they still have dibs on the tagtitles at Cold Blooded, I’m not entirely convinced they minded.

#25(tie)- KELLY MCGUFFIN (52 points)

The Good: Currently undefeated…

The Bad: ..on hardly the most demanding schedule.

Itsays a lot about the A-List that of the fifty-something roster members off FFWwho were not included in that “Elite” organization, exactly one of them aspiresto be a part of it. This is that one,Kelly McGuffin, the young rookie former circus performer who’s looking to beevery bit as unscrupulous as her notorious father. And, she’s going to get her chance at ColdBlooded, when she faces Jo McFarlane. Considering she’s already beaten Jo once, the odds are good. Good for her.

#24-EMMA MCINTYRE (59 points)

The Good: Pulled off a nice win over Robbyn Helmsley inthe first round of the Femme For All

The Bad: Hasn’t been anywhere even close to being inthe form she was when she won the title back in 2010

EmmaMcIntyre returned to the FFW at Unstoppable, and the first bit we saw of herwas an absolute destruction at the hands of Traci Loveheart. But from there, Emma truly struggled, neverreally getting off the ground, save for a brilliant performance against RobbynHelmsley. Still, she’s one of the chieffactors in the anti-A-List coalition, and has the talent and knowhow to make2012 a year more to her liking.

#23-CHARLOTTE GAGE (60 points)

The Good: Had a great run at the Telelvision title,ultimately being screwed by a vengeful Payton St. Pierre

The Bad: Never really recovered after the Danger Queensleft Unstoppable disappointed and without the tag titles.

CharlotteGage’s 2011 is definitely a tale of two halves. The first half, Charlie (and to some extent, her partner Kassandra),were always in the mix, running hard. The second half however, have seen the Danger Queens seemingly miss astep, as they struggle more and more to remain relevant in the ever-growlingFFW Unity Tag picture. Here’s hopingthese two can turn it around for a good 2012!

#22-DELILAH (68 points)

The Good: Defeated the Eternal Flame to claim thevacant FFW Unity Tag Team Titles at Conviction.

The Bad: Promptly lost those exact same belts onBreaking Point three weeks later… in what turned out to be Angelic S&D’slast match.

Therearen’t too many FFW stars that left a bad “what could have been” taste in yourmouth like the shooting stars that were Angelic Cindy. Delilah, the Libertine, was the moreunorthodox of the two, but she certainly managed to hold her own. The 2011 tag team picture would likely havebeen much different had these two sisters stuck around.

#21-RORI SNYDER (72 points)

The Good: Believe it or not, from her loss to WendyBriese in early May, until her release in September, Rori was undefeated insingles competition.

The Bad: It’s probably not as hard to believe that nota single one of those wins came legally. And when I say legally, I meant she violated the actual law, not just thering rules.

Youhave your loved wrestlers. You have yourhated wrestlers. But in all my yearscovering this sport, you’d be hard pressed to find a more unlikeable woman thanLorelai Snyder-Magnussen. At firstappearing to be little more than a shy, down-home girl that was very vanilla inthe way of wrestling talent, Rori managed to transform herself into a connivinglunatic, hell bent on not just the defeat, not just the injury, but theabsolute annihilation of her enemies- although still fairly vanilla in thewrestling category. Here’s all you needto know about Rori- how many wrestlers have been fired from FFW for being toodamned violent?

#20-EILEEN AMARO (75 points)

The Good: Has pulled off one of the fastest rises toprominence I’ve yet to see in FFW, thanks largely in part to a tremendousvictory over Rose Jenkins

The Bad: Upset by Desirae Kain in the final round ofthe Second Chase for the Crown, costing her a shot at the television title.

Injust her second match in the company, Eileen faced Colleen at the first ByteThis. And while she didn’t emergevictorious, she definitely proved that she would be a force to be reckoned within the coming months. Eileen hasn’tdisappointed, pulling off huge win after huge win, even earning herself the“One to watch in 2012” label. It’s agood thing to be tagged with, and one that Eileen should have no problemproving she deserved in the new year.

#19-PAYTON ST. PIERRE (76 points)

The Good: Beat Sophie Richards to win the TelevisionChampionship.

The Bad: Lost Future Shock finale to SophieRichards. And the television title backto Sophie Richards. And her dignitythanks to Sophie Richards. Oh, andSophie Richards took her credibility. Toput it simply, Sophie Richards drank her milkshake.

BeforeKelly McGuffin, there was Payton St. Pierre, who took being an irritating twatto the next f’ing level. And while shedid manage to throw a fireball at Sophie Richards and pull off a victory, thefact was, her career was definied by their rivalry, and how dominant Sophie wasthroughout. Needless to say, after thisthrashing, Samantha was more than happy to trade up her personal assistant whenshe got the chance. Now in SVW, which isfurther proof that Anthony Gambini is trying to kill that company.

#18-SELINA (77 points)

The Good: Remember what I said about Delilah? Well… here’s her partner.

Theother half of Angelic S&D, most of what can be said was already said underDelilah’s entry, but the Archangel Selina did have a bit of a better singlesrecord, which lands her a bit higher on the list. As loaded as the Unity division is at themoment, should S&D ever return to FFW, you can bet that everyone is goingto be wary of facing this duo!

#17-UNDINE (92 points)

The Good: Beat Katherine Stryfe… because Kat got high,because Kat got high, because Kat got high.

The Bad: Had an awful streak of bad luck to concludeher FFW career.

Undinewas one of those wrestlers that I got to cover only towards the end of herHalcyon days, although there was no denying that she was one of the best theEvolution division had to offer, even holding the championship. But she struggled towards the end, first adisappointing loss to Colleen, followed by a brutal beatdown at the hands of areturning Tara Thunder. After a failed tagteam attempt with Alyson Summers (although to be fair, it was because it waswith Alyson Summers), ‘Diney decided that maybe a change of scenery was inorder. She can now be found over in SVW,angrily tweeting at anyone who dare criticizes her beloved Vincent Belmont.

#16-STARLA MCCLOUD (108 points)

The Good: Starla’s proven herself a vicious tactician,getting big wins over the likes of Isabella Pazzini.

The Bad: There’s only two wrestlers that were twicedropped from the Power-X rankings due to inactivity. The other was Traci Loveheart.

Saywhat you will about Starla’s rather sparse schedule, but there’s no denyingthat Starla is more than happy to pick and choose her moments, and she’s damngood at doing that. Her last couple ofmatches against Isabella Pazzini were things of infamy, first the bullshitcontest that finally got the corrupt Alvin Shepherd fired, and then therematch, which just happened at the first FFW show of 2012. If you didn’t see the chaos that ended thismatch, you need to find Hulu… and fast.

#15-VALERIE BELMONT (112 points)

The Good: While she didn’t quite Save FFW like she wasbilled to upon her return, Val did produce some memorable moments- mostspecifically a masterful victory over a very hard-charging Robbyn Helmsley

The Bad: FLASH KICK!

Val’s2011 tenure in FFW only lasted four months, but it was a four unforgettablemonths as she put on some of the most memorable matches seen anywhere, whetheragainst Robbyn Helmsley, Kaitlynn Stryfe, or her participation in theElmination Chamber. Val’s out for thetime being thanks to having a bun in the oven, but when, and if she comes back,it’d be hard not to see her challenging for the FFW Championship again.

#14-TARA THUNDER (148 points)

The Good: Beat Crystal Hilton for a second time toclaim the Evolution Championship, a title she currently holds.

The Bad: Took that stunning roll-up loss to HannaElliot- which has now been thoroughly avenged.

Fora bit of Power-X trivia, Tara holds the highest single jump in the rankings FFWhistory,

aneighteen spot hike after her first win over Hilton at Unstoppable. Since then, Tara’s been as equally awesome towatch inside the ring as annoying to listen to outside of it. Still, she’s finally gotten herself theEvolution Championship, and doesn’t seem to be wanting to let it go anytimesoon.

#13-ROSE JENKINS (160 points)

The Good: Rose has been a very effective “ProblemSolver” for Samantha, solving such problems as Nina Astral and JohnnyMoxie. If only Samantha had stuck her onSophia Black before firing her…

The Bad: In the amount of time it took you to read thissentence, Camilla Pazzini punked Rose again. Twice.

TheBad Black Behemoth Bulldozer from Brooklyn came into the FFW for one purpose-to murder anyone Samantha tells her too. And while Rose has been damned effective in her role, there’s no denyingthat she’s had a few personal issues as well, the upset-minded Eileen Amaro,and, much more irritatingly, Camilla Pazzini, who’s yet managed to be one stepahead of her. Rose isn’t one to takehumiliation lightly, so you can bet when she finally catches up to Chunks,there will be hell to pay.

#12-RAVEN WICKED (164 points)

The Good: You know what, forget it. Screw Elliot over Thunder, Raven beatingCamilla Pazzini in the Prison of Punishment at Unstoppable was the Upset of theYear.

The Bad: Cammie got revenge for that loss about sixtimes over already

Tosay Raven is a “Ultraviolence Specialist” is something of an understatement-you’ll rarely see the girl in anything else. And while she hasn’t quite equaled the reigning Queen of the divisionyet, Raven hasn’t shown herself to mind. She’s happy taking punishment as well as giving it, so just so long asshe’s in that ring, she’s having fun. And so long as she keeps giving the fans some blood to cheer for, win orlose, she’ll keep getting those matches.

#11-ROBBYN HELMSLEY (173 points)

The Good: Gave an eye-opening effort in the War Gamesmatch at Conviction, garnering the support of many of the FFW Faithful. Also has a win over Katherine Stryfe.

The Bad: Had the mental toughness of a watermelon,which she used as a crutch for the half-dozen or so submission losses she took.

There’sno denying that Robbyn Helmsley was about as annoying as you can get (especiallywhen she was spouting off about whoever her flavor-of-the-month girlfriend wasat the time). But beneath thoseirritating screeches and mind-numbing comments was actually a fairly decentwrestler, one who opened some eyes with gutsy performances particularilyagainst Valerie Belmont and Team SVW. However, Robbyn struggled at times as well, especially againstsubmissionists. Even though she wasreleased from FFW in order to deal with some emotional issues. (Her words, and who the fuck knew that RobbynHelmsley had emotional problems?), the tenure of Supergirl is one that won’t beforgotten anytime soon.

Top ten! Who’s itgonna be? Actually, you should alreadyknow who through process of elimination. Still…

#10-SOPHIE RICHARDS (209 points- WIRE TO WIRE)

The Good: Took a belt that was held by Sophia Black,Michelle Taylor, and Belladonna, and actually made it respectable.

The Bad: Jeopardized all that respectability by losingthe title to Payton St. Pierre. ThankGod she gained it back.

Thefirst of our “Wire-to-wire” girls, seven ladies who managed to be in the top 25of every single Power X to date. Sophiehas been the Television champion for most of that time, and has been a veryfighting champion to boot, shooting down challenges from the likes of TabathaBelmont, Crystal Hate, Charlotte Gage, and several others. I’m not sure who holds the record for mostsuccessful title defenses, but it may very well be her. The only question at this point is whenSophie is going to ‘outgrow’ her current belt, and move on towards moreprestigious gold. Because, despite whatsome might say, the Television title is NOT the World title.

#9-STACEY MACKENZIE (227 Points)

The Good: You mean other than the fact that she has aperfect FFW record at 11-0, and is the current FFW Champion?

The Bad: Wait… she’s been in FFW for almost a year, andshe ONLY has eleven matches?

Tomany, it was a question of “when” and not “if” Stacey would actually climb themountain and become the FFW Champion, but Stacey fulfilled her destiny byknocking off Colleen in an epic Femme For All finals, then beating KatherineStryfe at Violent Night. To anyonewondering why the current champion is only ninth- keep in mind that theserankings were for the entire year, and Stacey only sparsely competed in FFWuntil the Femme For All.

#8-CRYSTAL HILTON (233 points- WIRE TO WIRE)

The Good: Became Evolution Champion by defeating WendyBriese in a two out of three falls match at Sin & Sacrifice.

The Bad: Her in-ring performance is as unstable as hermental capacity, seemingly alternating between groundbreaking wins andcompletely uninspired defeats.

Withher latest meltdown involving spellbooks, backstage attacks, and no doubtseveral hundred broken mirrors, Crystal Hilton has turned herself into FFW’s ownone-woman version of TMZ. The oddestthing about it all is that when she quits with the shrill theatrics, andactually wrestles, Hilton’s a damn good competitor. But that never seems to be the Hilton way,she likes things dramatic, and almost painfully awkward and embarrassing towatch. Far from me to complain- everyoneloves a good trainwreck!

#7-WENDY BRIESE (255 points- WIRE TO WIRE)

The Good: Beating Tara Thunder and Colleen (kinda) towin the Evolution title.

The Bad: It’s never good to find yourself tied withMichelle Taylor for a dubious record. But Wendy’s mere fourteen day stint with the Evolution title gets herthat distinction.

SinceWendy arrived in FFW, she’s proven herself to be one of the toughest outs anywrestler could possibly get as an opponent. Still, unlike most of the top ten, Wendy lacks that one shining momentthat you can just sink your teeth into- even her title win was tainted byColleen walkout. Wendy enters 2012 withthe intent that this is the year she gets over the hump, and finally silencesher critics.

#5(tie)- KATHERINE STRYFE (282 points- WIRE TO WIRE)

The Good: Not only did she beat Kaitlynn Stryfe tobecome the FFW Champion, she also successfully retained against Kitty.

The Bad: Not quite as successful against Undine, RobbynHelmsley, Angelic S&D, Pink Inc. Crystal Hilton, Camilla Pazzini…

Fromher smoking (HA!) dethroning as the Ultraviolence Champion to her defeat ofKaitlynn Stryfe at Sin & Sacrifice, it’s been a rollercoaster year for The Nightmare. Still, for all the crap I gave her, the factof the matter is that, for two months, Katherine Stryfe was the reigning queenof FFW. Now the question is, can she getherself back there, as the top of the pile in FFW gets more and more crowded?

#5(tie)- ISABELLA PAZZINI (282 points)

The Good: Never far from the FFW Title during the firsthalf of 2011, and garnered a reputation as the most feared woman backstage.

The Bad: I think Mark Horton said it best: “WHAT THEFUCK? SAMANTHA JUST CRACKED HER BESTFRIEND’S SKULL!”

Likeseveral others, 2011 was a tale of two halves for the Meanie Pazzini. First half, Isabella was THE Queen Bitch ofFFW, terrorizing several members of the locker room, and dominating allcompetition (save for Scarlett Kincaid). After her falling out with Samantha at Unstoppable, Isabella became amuch more likeable individual- although not quite as feared in the ring. This might be due to Samantha’s machinationsto keep Pazzini out of the ring as much as possible, save for the occasionaldoomed-to-fail match against one of her A-Listers. Still, anyone with eyes can see that Pazziniisn’t going to be held down for long.

#4-KAITLYNN STRYFE (302 points)

The Good: Claimed the FFW Championship to cap off amonster winning streak that tore through the ranks of the FFW.

The Bad: Finished the year by losing her last threemajor matches.

Bitchyand Beautiful would be the best way to describe Kaitlynn Stryfe, who is asknown for her catty attitude as she is her in ring prowess. Her finest moment was Unstoppable, of course,when she played Katherine Stryfe like a fiddle, as the two conspired throughthe eliminations of Amy, Isabella, and Valerie Belmont, only for Kitty to leaveKatherine for dead while claiming the title for herself. Of course, that may have come back to haunther, as Katherine did beat Kitty twice in one on one confrontations, knockingher out of the FFW Title picture (for now, at least)

#3-CAMILLA PAZZINI (305 points- WIRE TO WIRE)

The Good: Chunks has established herself as the Queenof Ultraviolence, but she also has some fine wins against non UV competitors,namely Colleen and Crysal Hilton.

The Bad: You knew what this one was gonna be- Prison ofPunishment. Unstoppable. New Champion. Raven Wicked.

Consideringher competition, winning FFW’s Award for Most Disliked was a small surprise,but it was one of the few things Chunks was in all year that she wasn’t favoredin. Her annoying tendencies to sayanything- regardless of how little fact it’s based in- aside, there’s nodenying that Camilla is one of the fiercest, most decorated wrestlers in all ofFFW. The question for Chunks in 2012… isshe going to make a run at the big title this year? Or is she happy with the UV belt around herwaist?

#2-COLLEEN (327 points- WIRE TO WIRE)

The Good: Held the Evolution Championship for sixmonths, earned honors as FFW Femme Fatale of the Year

The Bad: Heartbreaking loss to Stacey Mackenzie in theFemme For All Finals, followed by a letdown against Shane Sanders was not howColleen wanted to end her FFW Year

Whetheror not she is the true Franchise of FFW is very much up for debate, but on aconsistent week to week basis, there might not be anyone better than Ms. Harmon. All she needs now is to take that final leapto the top of the mountain. Of course,as long as Colleen is focused more on reminding us how miserable her life usedto be instead of showing us what a great wrestler she is, most will be lessthan anticipatory of her taking that last step.

And now, here we are. The number one wrestler on the year 2011. And the winner is… (like you haven’t alreadyfigured it out)

#1-SCARLETT KINCAID (359 points- WIRE TO WIRE)

The Good: Well, there was that FFW Championship. And the fact that she was the most BelovedWrestler of 2011 in FFW.

The Bad: Should never, ever, EVER leap fromanything. Ever. Again.

Yeah,I know… 7400 words of my bullshit, and we get the least surprising #1 rankingever. I mean, who else could it be? Scarlett wasn’t just the most popularwrestler of 2011, she was THE face of FFW. No one got the fan’s going more. No one inspired people more with their courageous comeback after beingso horribly injured at Sin & Sacrifice. And nobody is in a better position to become the first ever two-time FFWChampion than Kincaid. So a bigcongratulations to Scarlett, your 2011 Power X-Traveganza #1 Femme Fatale!

AWARDSROUNDUP!

I hope everyone had a very happy and safe NewYear. I know I did, even though I gotpunked by a stupid bitch named Whitley Mercer. Yeah, that little bit of bullshit did put a bit of a damper on theevening. Other than that, what ashow! So much going on, and so manyawesome matches! Colleen vs. Strike andBirdz vs. Stark & Stone especially are going to rate as some of the bestmatches of the year.

But now that 2011 is in the books, its time to do,well, the Final Countdown of the year. This is the first of two year-end columns that I’ll be doing, with thesecond one hopefully up in a couple of days- a mega-comprehensive end-allbe-all look at the previous year (well, from Full Frontal on, considering that’swhen I kinda came in). This one,however, is just going to be your normal run-of-the-mill version of Pollaskiawesomeness.

RANKINGS!

For those of you who religiously follow the Power-X(and seriously, you totally suck if you don’t), you might have noticed thatover the past couple of weeks, the number of people on the list hasshrunken. Around late summer, we weresporting a whopping forty-seven women on the Power-X rankings list, the lastinstallment merely saw thirty-six. Well,don’t worry, folks! No one’s gottendropped this time around, and we have a whopping SIX women returning to therankings after a brief hiatus. Add threenewcomers to that list, and we’ve ballooned back to a respectable forty-fivewomen on the January 1 edition.

Since it’s a new year, and we’ve gotten a lot of newpeople paying attention since I started this, let me take a moment to give aquick reminder of the Power X rules.

1. To be eligible for the Power-X, wrestlermust have competed on either the last two show cycles (generally either aVelocity-Breaking Point combination, or a PPV), or be booked in the nextone. After all, there’s no point intrying to come up with interesting things to write about you if you don’tfreakin’ do anything.

2. The FFW Champion will always be ranked#1. There is no guaranteed ranking forany other wrestler, regardless of what titles they hold.

3. All rankings are subjective, and are thesole opinion of myself. These areunofficial, and hold no bearing on a wrestler’s official status in Femme FataleWrestling, or elsewhere. Although Iwould like to remind you that I’m FFW’s Most Influential. Wherever I say you are, I can promise younine times out of ten that the brass of this company have a similar opinion.

4. I reserve the right to bend or break theserules at my discretion. This is MYcolumn after all.

And just incase anyone was wondering, yes, New Years Retribution did count in terms of myrankings.

With a successful defense over the Eternal Flame,Arianna is certainly establishing herself as a surprise in the tag teamrankings- remember, it was commonly thought as an awful decision when Desiraepicked her as her partner. But thingsare working out rather well for the time being, although we still have yet tosee what Arianna can do by herself in FFW competition.

#24-ALYSSON GARDNER [+2]

It took a couple weeks longer than expected, butAlysson has finally found her way into the top 25 with an impressive victoryover Sarah Richardson. She’s got hersights set on Stephanie Sullivan come Cold-Blooded, but first, a redhead vs.redhead matchup when Alysson takes on the (dyed) Rebbecca Valentine.

#23-CARA STONE [NEW]

Like I said, New Year’s Retribution did count for theserankings, and that was technically Cara’s first match as a member of the FFWroster. And what a match it was- trustme when I say that beating the WhirlyBirdz, ring rust or no ring rust, ishardly a small feat. Couple that withCara’s impressive performance in the fifth season of Future Shock, and she hasto be pegged as an early favorite in the Pick Your Poison ladder match.

#22-SUMMER [+1]

In professional wrestling, someone’s loss is someoneelse’s gain, and that holds very true in the case of this bubbly younglady. With Kassandra having to pull outdue to an injury, Summer finds herself facing Lumina for a chance to move intoa spot in the No Surrender championship. What a big break for her!

#21-EMMA MCINTYRE [-2]

It’s been quiet from the Former Champion after her lossto Queen Machine at Violent Night, but she did do a stellar job as a ringannouncer at NYR. And, let’s be honest,her chucking of former partner Katherine Stryfe under the bus was, well,beautiful.

#20-KELLY MCGUFFIN [--]

Kelly’s epic beatdown of Sophia Black to a surprisingturn for the disappointing after Sophia managed to cheat her way into adisqualification, and avoid her fate. Consider it a postponement- the rematch is set for Cold Blooded, and willbe a Prison of Punishment match!

#19-CRYSTAL HATE [-1]

Unfortunately for Crystal, Sophie proved to be too muchfor her, and Hate found her bid for the Television Championship coming up a biton the short side. Fortunately for therest of us, Crystal and her sisters proved to be too much for Don Tirri, and weall got a great view of that coven beating the living holy hell out of him atNYR.

#18-QUEEN MACHINE [-1]

After coming off a great momentum building win overEmma McIntyre at Violent Night, you’d have thought that Jenny would have beensent back into that ring to capitalize on her success. Unfortunately, that doesn’t quite seem to bethe case here, as Jenny won’t be getting back into the ring until she facesKaitlynn Stryfe. That’s not a goodopponent to have ring rust against.

#17-SHANE SANDERS [-2]

After a great win over Jo McFarlane, Shane’s momentumtook a bit of a hiccup when she and her brother teamed up against Jo andArabella at NYR. Still, that might beadding a bit of fuel to the fire for Shane, she’s getting Arabella again whenshe and Eileen faces the Violent Femmes… and she’s definitely out to prove thather win over Colleen was anything but a fluke.

#16-RAVEN WICKED [-2]

The Ultraviolence title might not be on the line thistime, but this is an absolutely critical match for Raven, who is in danger ofbeing shunted out of the UV title picture for the time being as the focus moreand more is on Camilla and Rose. She canchange that at Velocity, by pulling off an upset over Camilla in a No HoldsBarred match. Don’t scoff, she’s done itonce already!

#15-DESIRAE KAIN [+1]

You know, I’m kind of surprised we haven’t had abitching session from Katherine Stryfe yet that she had to wrestle twice atUnstoppable, yet Desirae Kain gets a more accommodating schedule. Now that she’s not wrestling twice in thenight, Desirae’s chances of walking out of Cold Blooded with the Tag Team belts…and maybe a singles title to go along with them, has increased dramatically.

#14-CASEY ATHERTON [-1]

Hey, Casey! Payno attention to what that mean Gabrielle Crimson said about you being acriminal. The only thing you’ve stolenis my heart. And yeah, maybe a fewtrophies as well. But personally, I knowI sleep better at night thinking that Casey won Season 3 instead of AlyssonSummers, don’t you?

#13-ROSE JENKINS [-1]

If Rose wanted to help me win my match at NYR, maybeshe should have focused on stopping Shitley Mercer from jumping me from behind,instead of doing a miserably executed attack on Camilla. Like I said on Twitter, just because sheneeded help to beat Michelle Taylor doesn’t mean everyone else needsassistance. And that’s why Chunks isgoing to be pulling a hat trick on good ol’ Rosie come Cold-Blooded

#12-ISABELLA PAZZINI [Returning- Last ranked 10^th on November 2]

After a couple of months of being on the back burner,Isabella’s gotten pretty busy over the past couple weeks, first saving Wendyfrom a savage attack by Crystal Hilton, and then beating Gary Gilray atNYR. Next up, a rematch with StarlaMcCloud… if anyone saw the travesty of the first one… you’ll know why a lot ofpeople are looking forward to this. Atleast Alvin Shepherd isn’t going to be a ref this time.

#11-EILEEN AMARO [-1]

Eileen’s been a little… angrier over the past couple ofweeks. Mainly at Colleen, but if you’reon the A-List, you probably didn’t make her Christmas card list. Luckily for her, she’s going to get a chanceto blow off some serious steam against the Violent Femmes next week, followedby what should be an absolute tearing of Alyssa Foxworth at Cold-Blooded.

Crystal Hate put up a fight, but Sophie managed todispatch her, and retain what has suddenly become the hottest belt in thecompany in terms of people lining up to challenge for this. Next up is Desirae Kain, who could be veryvery dangerous.

Kitty’s been quiet since her loss to Scarlett, but shegets back into the swing of things against Charlotte Gage, which should amountto little more than a warmup match. Thebig challenge is Queen Machine, who could be a very very stiff challenge atCold Blooded

#8-KATHERINE STRYFE [-4]

I’m starting to wonder if Kat is one of those peoplewho manages to be very successful against one opponent (Kaitlynn Stryfe), yetstruggles against pretty much anyone else. A loss against Crystal Hilton certainly suggests that once again, Stryfeis going to be drifting back in the pack.

#7-CRYSTAL HILTON [+4]

Crystal was a busy, busy girl over the past couple ofweeks, first of all jumping Cheers and Jeers, then Wendy Briese, and thenpulling out some shenanigans to down the recently dethroned FFW Champion. She’s off until Cold Blooded, which gives herplenty of time to come up with the spell she’ll need to beat Isabella Pazzini

#6-TARA THUNDER [+2]

*FFWEVOLUTION CHAMPION*

You have got to give Tara credit. After her loss the first time around to HannaElliot, she treated it as a wake up call, turned around, and pulled off notjust a huge win over Crystal Hilton, but then avenged her loss by beatingElliot to retain the belt. Tara betterbe careful to keep up the momentum though… otherwise history is going to berepeating itself against Melanie Avilo.

#5-WENDY BRIESE [--]

The ‘final flight’ of the WhirlyBirdz ended in adisappointment for Wendy, but at this point, she is right where she wants to bein her singles career. She got the winover the upset-minded Stephanie Sullivan, and she’s headed to Cold Blooded tofight for the No Surrender Championship. Now to deliver the goods.

#4-COLLEEN [+3]

You can’t rebound any better than that. Colleen followed up her disappointing lossesto Stacey and Shane by putting on a beautiful performance against Chris Strikein her hometown. A gutsy win against anequally gutsy performance, and Colleen’s ascent back into the top 5 iswell-deserved. But you can tell theghost of her loss to Sanders is bothering her- why else would she have demandedthe rematch?

#3-CAMILLA PAZZINI [--]

*FFWULTRAVIOLENCE CHAMPION*

Considering who Chunks has beaten in the past fewmonths, how awesome would it have been if I had been able to pull off themonster upset last night? Alas, thanks tostupid Whitley Mercer, Chunks maintains her victory, and her show spot in therankings. Although I can’t help butwonder how much fun it would have been to drop her for losing to me. Ah, well.

#2-SCARLETT KINCAID [--]

Considering how much bullshit Johnny Moxie manages toget away with, a DQ win isn’t really anything to scoff at. Especially because when bullshit wasn’training down from the sky, Scarlett was kicking Moxie’s ass all over thearena. Now, Scarlett’s got one mission- takeback her title.

#1-STACEY MACKENZIE [--]

*FFWCHAMPION*

Despite apparent allegations that Stacey is sitting onher title like a coward, The Simply Better Dreamkiller seems to be in goodshape. She’s going to need all the restshe can get, after all. She’s gotherself a biiiig defense coming up at Cold Blooded!

INCOMING!

So we are now in the final push towards Cold Blooded, andas such, two more shows coming at you. Here’s a quick rundown of what you can expect.

VELOCITY-January 5 from Kansas City, Missouri

Man, I fucking hate the Sprint Center. It just makes me sad, because when I was akid living in KCK, it was always the Kemper Arena. But I know, times they are a changing, and arenascome and go. Anyways, my feelings on thevenue aside, we’re looking at a pretty damn stuffed card here. Christine Smith, the newly signed “QueenPredator” goes up against Crystal Hate. Not sure what all Christine’s going to bring to the table here, but shebetter be ready to bring it, Crystal’s welcomed a few newcomers already to FFW,and most of them haven’t been warm. Nextup, a bonafide ass-whupping on the table, as Rose Jenkins takes on… dear godhelp us… TWISTED PATH 2.0. And no, that’snot an upgrade. Of course, I wouldn’t beshocked if Camilla comes out to ‘help’ Rose during this, either.

The final spot in the No Surrender match at ColdBlooded is on the line as Lumina Ferrari, who’s getting a second chance hereafter a stunning loss to Kassandra a couple months ago, goes up against Summer, who’s been verydangerous ever since her debut just a month or so ago. Jo McFarlane, coming off two straight losses,hopes to get a bit of momentum back against Sophia Black, who seems hellbent ingetting as big a bounty on her head as she possibly can.

If Camilla fucked with Rose earlier in the night,expect a bit of payback in the next match, when Chunks goes up against RoseJenkins in a nontitle NHB match. Thenagain, considering how much Rose is fed up with Cammie, Rose might be makingher presence known regardless. And inthe main event, it’s Isabella Pazzini returning to the FFW ring to take onStarla McCloud. I can guarantee you onething- my girl Wendy will be watching this one very closely, both as a scoutingchance, and considering the shenanigans that seem to arise whenever StarlaMcCloud wrestles.

BREAKING POINT- January 14 in Boise, Idaho

SMURFS! Seriously, there aren’t many people out there who want to go to Boise inthe middle of the winter, but as far as yours truly is concerned, its alwayswelcome to go home to the land of the Broncos and the Blue turf. Kicking things off is creepy-horny FutureShock 5 participant Elizabeth Blackwell, making her FFW debut in what shouldamount to a curbstomping of Charity Deas. The dominance theme should continue into the next match, when the viciousKaitlynn Stryfe hopes to send a message to Queen Machine by whooping CharlieGage’s ass all over the Potato Bowl.

The Competition only ramps up from there, with AlyssonGardner going up against Rebbecca Valentine. Becky’s high on her horse coming off a huge win for the Eternal Flameover OMGWTF, but at the same time, Rebbecca’s singles record is, well,lacking. A shitload. More redhead on redhead action follows in thenext match, when Future Shock 3 alumnis Ignis and Casey Atherton collide- ashame, given that Iggy doesn’t yet have any accolades for Casey to steal.

Security better be ready for the next one, which shouldamount to nothing short of a hate-filled war when Eileen Amaro and ShaneSanders tangle with the A-List. Not sureif Eileen and Shane are as focused on the tag titles as the Violent Femmes are,but the fact of the matter is both women would LOVE to get their hands on theA-Listers. And gold is on the line inthe main event of the evening, as Sophie Richards defends her title again, thistime against Desirae Kain. Richardshas to be a favorite, considering hertrack record, but remember, Desirae is at her best when you don’t see hercoming.

AWARDS!

As has been mentioned several times before (and faceit, you already knew it anyways), New Years Retribution was last night, and byall accounts (including mine) it was a phenomenal show. So who better to give today’s awards than themastermind behind that show, not to mention the general manager of FFW’sVelocity show, AND FFW & SVW announcer. All around great guy… MARK HORTON!

Colleenvs. Chris Strike - New Year’s Retribution

This one was rather difficult for me, because therewere several good nominees, including the TV Championship match between Sophie& Crystal Hate at Breaking Point. But this match here was just a pureclinic of how you enthrall an audience. Even given the fact that the crowd wasvery pro-Colleen, they still showed enthusiasm and respect for both wrestlers!I was happy to see Colleen pick up this huge win in her hometown no less. And Iam certainly of the mind that that this cracked ceiling is about to shatter.Good show by both, I was honored to be able to present it!

Hardto argue this point. It was a great wayto close out the show. Although Colleenactually being cheered felt… odd. Runners up!

- Richardsvs. Hate (Mark’s right, this was a tough call. That was a good match, and easily the hardest I’ve yet seen Crystalfight. Hate may have come up short, butshe’s going to get another chance sooner rather than later, and Sophie betterwatch out when she does)

- WhirlyBirdzVHS vs. Stark & Stone (Is this a homer pick? Possibly. Is it justified? You’re damnfucking right it is. There was noshortage of anything in this match, intensity, athleticism, and most of all,respect. Like Wendy said afterwards, ifit was the final flight of the WhirlyBirdz, it was a damn good one)

Given the fact that I couldn’t give her match of theweek, she damn sure deserves winner of the week! Sophie, since becoming theTelevision Champion, has been on a path to greatness with the frequency of hertitle defenses. She is simply the best Television Champion in that title’shistory, bar none. And whoever finally takes that title off of her has someheavy shoes to fill! Sophie is going to be competing for the FFW Championshipbefore 2012 is over, I am confident. And when she does, I’ll be betting on her!

Isn’tSophie, the only Television Champion to actually successfully defend the title?

- TaraThunder (the other retainee this week, doing so by avenging her loss to HannaElliot. Tara’s really come around thesepast few weeks. Now the trick is to keepthis momentum going)

- MelanieAvilo (Beating Cara Stone is no small accomplishment, and Melanie did that withflying colors in the Future Shock final to become the new #1 Contender to theEvolution Championship. Well done, fromsomeone I thought was going out the very first week)

I know he’s not in FFW, but the fact that he hasdiminished the SVW Championship to the degree he has saddens me. I have fondmemories of calling some epic SVW Championship matches between some of the bestcompetitors in the business. And Moxie does the title no favors in titledefenses or even just one on one matches as we saw at New Year’s Retribution.He has brought the honor and prestige of that belt to an all time low with the wayhe conducts himself, and frankly I look forward to Criminal Intent when eitherNathan McFarlane or Rexxx relieves him of it!

Itsokay. The loserdom of Johnny Moxie isstrong enough to transcend all feds.

I hada feeling there was going to be some kind of shenanigans, but I did make themistake of thinking he might actually fight. How wrong I was! Instead he justsurrounded himself by more henchmen, and this time it just happened to beJackson. I know Mr. Jackson wants people to talk about him, and that’s whatmatters to him. Frankly, I have never looked to promote lackeys and henchmen,and he would not have done what he did were it not for SVW’s CEO! CriminalIntent, roll on! Because as much as I have faith in Spencer to pick the bestdamn team possible, rest assured that I will do everything in my power toensure that February 12 is the last night SVW is cursed with Anthony Gambini!And as well connected as he thinks he is, New Year’s Retribution proved onething. I’ve got connections too. You can call me AT&T, and after all theshit he’s caused me personally, Gambini will find out how well connected I amat Criminal Intent. Promise.

2011was a bad year for the Anthony Gambini fan club. With Osama, Mummar, and Kim all kicking thebucket, membership is at an all time low. Anyone have Manuel and Hugo on speedial?

RANKINGS!

So by now, you’ve probably heard the hype I’ve been given the column on Twitter about what Charity Deas and Kelly McGuffin have in common. And I’m sure Kelly McGuffin is probably about ready to strangle someone nearby at the thought of ever being compared to a Deas.

It’s simple. They’re two of the five women in the rankings that did not participate in a match at Violent Night (the others being Arabella de Rossi, Arianna Millar, and Rebecca Valentine).

The other thirty-one wrestlers on this weeks rankings slugged it out in thirteen absolutely epic contests that certainly made the whopping four hours this show ran fly by. And with all the close calls, brilliant efforts, and upsets that went down in those four hours, the rankings have quite a different look to them than they did just two weeks ago. And the funny thing is, only a couple of people fell any decent amount, all the rest of the shuffling was due to people moving UP, rather than down. That’s the mark of a good, hotly contested pay-per-view.

Unfortunately, three people have fallen off the rankings completely, as opposed to only two new entries, which lowers the overall list down one from our thirty-seven girls last week. No surprise here- Mindy Smyth (last ranked 36th) is gone, having FINALLY been fired by the powers that be. And while I have respect for No Surrender participants Starla McCloud (8th), and Kara Harrington (19th)... seriously, how hard is it to get yourself booked once every sixth show around here? Unfortunately for these two, harder than you’d think,so for the time being, they drop off. And there’s no holdies, either.

#25- ARIANNA MILLAR [+1]
FFW UNITY TAG TEAM CHAMPION
Ari’s gotta be one happy girl, watching her partner and friend Desirae Kain get a huge victory to win the Chase for the Crown. But now it’s back into the ring for Ari and Pink Inc- the Eternal Flame want their titles back, and we all know what happened to the last team to beat Kat and Rebbecca in a tag title match- Angelic Cindy lost their belts just a couple weeks later, and never recovered!

#24- ARABELLA DE ROSSI [=]
With the rest of her A-List stablemates going 0-4 at Violent Night, Arabella could do nothing but watch helplessly as that nightmare unfolded. Considering her already unstable (read: batshit) mentality, that can’t be good for Arabella’s psyche. It’s probably even worse for the next person to be booked opposite Arabella in a match.

#23- SUMMER [NEW]
Are we in the Southern Hemisphere? Cause it’s freaking December, and Summer looks like she’s just getting started! The bubbly debutante came up big in the opening match of Violent Night, which turned out to be one of the best matches on the whole show. After surviving the dual threat of Gardner and Ferrari, beating Alyssa Foxworthy should be a walk in the park.

#22- JO MCFARLANE [+1]
I hate calling moral victories, but I think you have to give Jo credit- she hung with Wendy, big time, in a match where most people were assuming Briese was going to kill her. Jo opened a lot of eyes at Violent Night, and she can take a lot of positive momentum from that show. Now to use it to down the suddenly red-hot Shane Sanders, and pick up a little revenge on behalf of the A-List.

#21- HANNA ELLIOT [-5]
Hanna took about four steps forward when she knocked off Tara Thunder, but then took a step back in falling to Casey Atherton at Violent Night. Next up for Hanna? Rematch, and time to prove that win over Tara wasn’t a fluke. Can’t hurt that Tara’s shiny new Evolution Championship is hanging in the balance as well.

#20- KELLY MCGUFFIN [-3]
Kelly’s hardly the most likeable person on the roster, so it says a lot when she’s the overwhelming fan favorite going into her match against Sophia Black. That’s what happens when you eagerly look to beat the hell out of someone who’s a universally reknown disgrace to the company.

#19- EMMA MCINTYRE [-4]
Emma became the latest victim to fall to the Queen Machine Machine, taking a tough loss at the last second. With Emma currently not in any title picture, this is probably as good a time as any for Emma to take a few weeks off, in order to reasess her situation, and come back stronger than ever in 2012

#18- CRYSTAL HATE [+2]
It doesn’t really help that it was over the whiny, pathetic, do-nothing Sophia Black, but Crystal Hate still delivered on a big win at Violent Night, and has propelled herself up the ladder to the next stage- against Sophie Richards for the TV title. Crystal’s had problems going up against the tougher competitionn here in FFW, so the question is- can she deliver the goods, and bring home the bacon?

#17- QUEEN MACHINE [+1]
Even more impressive than her last minute out-of-nowhere win over Emma McIntyre was her ability to focus, even with the distraction of Kaitlynn Stryfe on the entrance ramp. Jenny’s finally gotten her wish, and she’s got Kaitlynn Stryfe all to herself at Cold Blooded. Well, all to hers, and Alexader Stryfe’s self. Could duplicity firmly be in the works here?

#16- DESIRAE KAIN [+6]
FFW UNITY TAG TEAM CHAMPION
Wait... are we sure that Desirae’s French? Because she’s fighting better than anyone from that country since Napoleon (and they’re roughly the same size, too!). In seriousness, it’s amazing how quickly Desi’s taken this company by storm, and that’s with or without Arianna Millar at her side. That win in the Chase for the Crown Finals was nothing short of spectacular, and now Desi has a chance to become a double champion in her own right!

#15- SHANE SANDERS [+12]
To be honest, I’ve always kind of had Shane pegged as a bit of an underachiever, and I’m starting to think I was right after that absolute jaw-dropping victory over Colleen at Violent Night. It’s a long time coming for Shane, who returned with a flourish earlier this year, but struggled in surpassing Rori Snyder’s constant attempts to bullshit her. There was no bullshit, or screwy refereeing here, though. So now the question becomes- now that the real Shane is waking up, how high can she go?

#14- RAVEN WICKED [-2]
Raven gets bonus points in my book for somehow managing to get ahold of and torture the fuck out of Alvin Shepherd, but when it came down to the Night of Ten Thousand Light Tubes, Raven showed her greener side, and just couldn’t keep up with Camilla’s viciousnesss. And that’s going to hurt her come Cold Blooded- when the Ultraviolence title goes up for grabs again, Raven will be on the outside looking on.

#13- CASEY ATHERTON [+8]
By hook or by crook (and let’s face it, everything with Casey Atherton is by crook), Casey knocked off Hanna Elliot, and has cemented herself into the suddenly loaded Evolution Divsion. That should sit well with Casey, who’e begun to develop a severe magpie complex for titles, accolades, and, unless my ears deceived me, husbands as well?

#12- ROSE JENKINS [+1]
If the night of 10,000 light tubes was decided purely based on damage done to your opponents, Rosie would have won this match hands down. But unfortunately, Camilla managed to knock her out at the end, and take the win, and Rose is left with an unfinished job- a theme that’s becoming all too common with her. It’s already been announced- Rose gets one more shot at Camilla at Cold Blooded, and this time without Raven to get in the way. If she can’t get the job done here...

#11- CRYSTAL HILTON [-1]
Maybe if Crystal stopped throwing tantrums about Wendy Briese winning Breakout Star of the Year over her, and taking cheap shots and dangling the belt at every opportunity, she might have seen Tara Thunder coming and not dropped by the blonde for the second time in four months. But she didn’t and she was. And next up- a main event with ex-FFW Champion Katherine Stryfe! I hate to say it, but I think this is one rose that has wilted.

#10- EILEEN AMARO [-1]
Sometimes wrestling is a sport of seconds, or even split-seconds, and Eileen unfortunately ended up on the wrong end of one of those split seconds when she came up just short in trying to break up a Desirae Kain pinfall. As such, a girl who was pretty much considered a shoo-in as the Chase for the Crown winner walks away empty handed. WEll, save for contributing to three awesome matches, not to mention a shocking win over Rose Jenkins. And that’s the most telling thing of all about the Chase loss- Eileen’s hardly going to need it.

#9- SOPHIE RICHARDS [+2]
FFW TELEVISION CHAMPION
Considering that Tabatha Belmont worked about as hard as you or I did for that TV title shot, it’s not too much of a surprise that Sophie’s walked out of Violent Night with the title still around her waist. It gets tougher almost immediately, however, with a quick turnaround at Velocity to face the always dangerous Crystal Hate. And the winner squares off with Desirae Kain at Cold Blooded. That’s going to be a tough two matches for Sophie to survive in the coming months.

#8- TARA THUNDER [+6]
FFW EVOLUTION CHAMPION
It was pretty easy to count Tara off after that head-scratcher to Hanna Elliiot, but Tara rebounded in a BIG way by knocking off Crystal Hilton and finally claiming the title for herself. Now, don’t mean to put any pressure on anyone, but it’s only 12 days between Violent Night and Velocity. Which means if Hanna Elliot wins... we’re looking at a new record for shortest reign. Not that I *want* that to happen, of course...

#7- COLLEEN [-4]
If you want the A-List’s night summed up in a single picture, pause Violent Night about two and a half seconds after the conclusion of the Sanders vs. Colleen match. The expression on Colleen’s face says it all. That being said, I’ve heard a lot of people eagerly ready to dismiss Colleen as FFW’s Franchise, and relegate her as yet another wannabe. Not so fast, my friend. These upsets happen, and it’s more important to see how she responds from here on out than to make a rapid judgement. In short: this is still one very dangerous woman who’s a threat to anyone on the roster.

#6- KAITLYNN STRYFE [=]
Kitty Mac got thwacked, and as a result, is likely out of the FFW Championship pictue for the time being. Given that she was practically invincible back in July and August, it’s hard to believe that Kaitlynn struggling so badly right now- she’s lost three of her last four, with the only win coming over Kassandra. Think it’s any coincidence that the slump started right around the time Queen Machine returned to FFW?

#5- WENDY BRIESE [+2]
It wasn’t the flat out domination a lot of people expected, but Wendy definitely gave a gritty performance in her win over Jo McFarlane at Violent Night, hanging on through some pretty tough comebacks by the A-Lister before finally managing to put her away. That clears the road for her and her run to the No Surrender Championship- although Stephanie Sullivan might have a thing or two to say about that.

#4- KATHERINE STRYFE [-3]
The rollercoaster ride that is Kat Stryfe’s career continues, and this is probably one loop-de-loop that Kat wishes was left out. A month and a half ago, she was a double-champion, holding both the FFW and Unity belts. Now, she’s got nothing but a sympathetic Rebbecca Valentine as her tag team partner. She’ll get a rematch at Cold Blooded, but here’s something to watch out for. History suggests that when Stryfe backslides, she backslides far and hard. With the FFW of 2012 looking to be even more competitive than the FFW of 2011, this would be a very dangerous time to continue that trend.

#3- CAMILLA PAZZINI [+1]
FFW ULTRA VIOLENCE CHAMPION
It damn near killed Chunks to do it, but she outlasted Rose and Raven again, and picked up another win to retain her UV title. Which brings up an interesting quandry, given that I’m apparently her next opponent. Some of those bumps Cammie took at Violent Night were pretty damn severe, and I’m not sure that even with a month-plus to recuperate, she’s going to be a hundred percent. Which means that the odds on Danny pulling off a miracle at New Years Retribution just got a lot smarter.

#2- SCARLETT KINCAID [+3]
What ring rust? If anyone here has any idea how Violent Night could have gone any better for Scarlett, I would love to hear it, because the only thing I can think of involves Cody Kincaid cloning himself and offering her a three-way. Then again, that did kind of happen, because she’s now going into a three way dance at Cold Blooded with a chance to get that FFW title back. But for now, just sit back and watch that match again- a beautiful, epically fought victory for Scar.

#1- STACEY MACKENZIE
FFW CHAMPION
Not to rip off any Simon Cowell shows here, but you hear a lot of talk about that ‘X-Factor’. Well, Stacey has it, that quality you can’t easily describe, but it certainly allows her to wrestle at a significantly high level. It’s been a long coming for “Simply Better” or “The Dreamkiller” or what-the-fuck ever you wanna call her. But the fact is this- there was very little doubt that Stacey was going to get to the top of the mountain sooner or later, and there’s also very little doubt that she has what it takes to stay there.

And to quote the great Ted Miller... “Don’t like where you are in this week’s power rankings? Play Better.”

INCOMING!

So here we are on the FFW highway, with Violent Night in the rearview, Cold Blooded on the horizon, and a bunch of really big orange flashing lights for a detour through New Years Retribution. But before we head to DC for a cross-promotion year end extravaganza, a couple other stops to make first!

VELOCITY- DECEMBER 8- CINCINNATI, OHIO
Personally, I hate coming to Cincy in December, mainly because any time I do, I can’t help but think of that godawfully horrendous Babes in Toyland movie (starring Drew Barrymore and Keaneau Reeves!), and the equally awful C-I-N-C-I-N-N-A-T-I song that goes along with it. Hopefully Velocity will give us better images than that of a twelve-year old Barrymore sitting on Pat Morita’s (yes, Mr. Miyagi) lap.

Then again, the first match gives us another stomach-churning visual in our own right- CHARITY DEAS! Cueball goes one-on-one with the debuting Lightning in an apparent gimme welcome-wagon match, while Lightning will hit the ring and discover, to her ever-growing horror, that no one actually knows who she is. Things get better from there, though. Sophia Black, fresh off of giving us one of the most pathetic, whiny moments in pro-wrestling history, goes up against Kelly McGuffin, with the promise that if Black tries to lay down (during the match), she’s going to be hospitalized courtesy of a snot-nosed rookie who’s so important to the company she gets booked once a month.

Ouch.

Tag team time, with the number one (kinda) contenders going up against the Danger Queens, who have been on a backslide here in FFW (and yet, strangely, kicking names and taking ass over in SVW). Hayley and Iggy have been forced to sit out for quite a bit, so look for them to come out flying... if they don’t accidentally poison themselves first. Following that up should be a VERY interesting match with Jo McFarlane taking on Shane Sanders. Shane’s got momentum coming off what might be the biggest upset in FFW history, and Jo’s got a bit of momentum herself after coming close to pulling of an upset in her own right. This is a true pick-um, and could go either way.

Kassandra and Starla McCloud have advanced in the No Surrender division, and now its time to see who number three is going to be, when Wendy Briese takes on Stephanie Sullivan. Briese is the obvious favorite, but this match screams trap-door after her emotional win over Jo back at Violent Night. And I doubt Stephanie is called the ‘technical princess’ for because it’s a catchy name.

And finally there’s the main event, a rematch for the tag team titles as the Eternal Flame, after a November they’d love to forget, hope to get some momentum back heading towards the end of the year. But obviously, Pink Inc, which has been on a tear (especially Desirae Kain), are looking to stop them. It’ll be interesting to see if Pinky’s energy wins out again over the Flame’s (relative) experience advantage.

BREAKING POINT- DECEMBER 17- ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA
And so out west we go to the final official FFW Show of the year, where we’ll all gather at the Pond in Anaheim (and fuck Honda’s naming rights) for one last pre-Christmas beatdown. Action should kick off, well, one-sidedly, when newcomer Kimberly Aries gets her introductory whupass session, taking on the ever-pathetic Traci Loveheart (dear god, why did Twisted Path have to come back?!). After that, should be a much more entertaining contest when Alysson Gardner, who’s quickly developing a following here in Femme Fatale Wrestling, goes toe to toe with Sarah Richardson, returning to the ring after a decent hiatus. Given Sarah’s most infamous in-ring technique, and the, um... globular enormity of Alysson’s, er... assets, this could also be a fairly painful match to watch if you’re a Gardner fan, and she gets into trouble.

Alyssa Foxworthy, fresh off of being bitch-slapped by Desi Kain and Eileen Amaro, hits the ring against Summer, who turned a lot of heads in her debut, and hopes to keep that momentum going into 2012. Look for Summer to waylay the hapless Alyssa here. And then comes three HUGE matches, starting with the FFW Television Championship, when Sophie actually has to defend her belt against someone who EARNED their shot. Crystal Hate’s a dangerous challenger, but Sophie’s a strong champion, so it will be interesting to see who wins here, and manages to carry the belt into Cold Blooded.

And then a double main event is on tap, starting with the Evolution Championship. Hanna’s earned this, alright, being the last person to beat Tara Thunder, but at the same time, she’s going to have to wrestle a HELL of a lot better than she did against Casey Atherton if she hopes to walk out of this the winner. And in the main event, probably the women who suffered the two biggest letdowns at Violent Night go at it. Both Crystal Hilton and Katherine Stryfe have got to be hoping for a big rebound here, so expect to see a pretty good match. And finally, a match Kat’s favored to win!

AWARDS!

So, before we hit this weeks awards, let me get you in on a bit of a backstory on how this came to be about. There’s a new columnist in town, a young pink-haired lady by the name of Gabrielle Crimson, who’s Cat’s Eye column is gaining in popularity. Now, I’m sure a lot of people were wondering if the Pollaskinator is going to be jealous that there’s another kid on the block. And to that, I say “no’. Mainly for two reasons.

1. FFW is a huge place, with a lot of shit going down. Nothing wrong with another perspective on it.
2. Caltech scientists have recently proven that it is mathematically impossible to write a better pro-wrestling column than the Power-X, so I don’t really feel threatened. I’d get into the specifics of this amazing discovery, but like I said, there’s math involved. You wouldn’t get it.

So as it so happens, though, Ms. Crimson is best friends with incoming sensation Alysson Gardner. So, when I approached Aly about possibly doing the awards for this week, Gabrielle counteroffered with a deal- Alysson will do my awards, and Wendy offers herself up for an interview for her Cat’s Eye column. How can you say no to that?

Match of the Week - Camilla Pazzini vs. Rose Jenkins vs. Raven Wicked
If I mentioned one of the two main events here, it would be a fucking given, because there's a reason people are in main events - because they can put on a BIG show. So instead of going with the obvious here, I've decided to throw an alternative, because there was no way Kat Stryfe and S-Mack or Kitty Stryfe or Scarlett wouldn't make it to Match of the Week.

I don't know if people know, but I'm a huge hardcore fan, and these women really made justice to the name of the match - the Night of 10.000 Light Tubes. There's a reason this division is called Ultra Violence, and it showed. Camilla Pazzini showed why she is the champion of this division by being borderline criminal to her opponents there, and Raven was even more violent. There was a moment in there that I actually thought Raven would incapacitate Camilla for good! Thankfully, it never happened. The three women involved should be proud of their scars, because they're going to be the reminders of an awesome, brutal and unforgiving match in where anyone could have walked out as a champion at any given time.

Someone once told me that title belts come and go, but scars last forever. Which is why Zangief is such a badass. Anyways, runners up!
- Summer vs. Gardner vs. Ferrari (Why not? Seriously, to go out there and kick off this four hour monstrosity with the match these three did was pretty damned impressive. Even if Summer won, the other two looked damned amazing. A big kudos two all three!)
- Thunder vs. Hilton (I told you guys that this match reeked of desperation, and when the cover came off, the stench filled the entire arena. Whatever it was on the nose, however, it was a damned good match on the eyes, with both women going for broke over the Evolution Championship. The end result’s simple- Tara stopped her slide, Crystal only put hers on a steeper slope.)

Winner of the Week: Stacey Mackenzie
Was there any other option? I mean, the woman is eleven-goddamn-oh. Had an epic match against Katherine Stryfe, kept her streak intact and went home with the big one. It can't get any better than that. I wonder if there's anyone capable of stopping this woman right now.

There is always someone capapble of beating you, and Stacey Mac is no exception. But if anyone knows where that person is, I’d love to hear it.
- Scarlett Kincaid (That was a gorgeous in-ring return for the FFW “face of the year”, and, even more amazing in that Kitty threw trick after trick after blullshit at her, and she still managed to weather it. Scarlett’s back, and in a big way, kids!)
- Shane Sanders (I haven’t been waving the upset of the year flag throughout this entire column for nothing)

Loser of the Week: Alysson Gardner
Because I'm not in position to drop any names here, when I actually lost my match! I'm always saying this - wrestling is about being ready and prepared, and yet I foiund myself laying on my back for the three-count. Summer... She's good. She's damn good. She has passion and energy, and I feel no shame at all for losing to her. But it can't become a habit. I can't allow myself to be in that position again.

That’s absolutely adorable that you chose to fall on the grenade, Alysson, but come on! First of all, the loser of the week isn’t an insult in an of itself (although it certainly can be!), just points out the person who had the biggest setback. Second, there’s a MUCH better candidate for this award, but you gave her a different one. Anyways..
- The A-List (I’d elaborate, but they say a picture is worth a thousand words, and, well, I have a thousand BEAUTIFUL words below in this weeks Meme.)
- Raven Wicked (Well, the nice thing about Raven is that she genuinely looked like she enjoyed most of that travesty that was the Night of 10,000 light tubes. But being pinned in that match takes her out of the UV title picture- for now.

Douchebag of the Week: Sophia Black
You DON'T threaten to lay down in a match if you're a honored wrestler. And you DON'T threaten to lay down in a PAY-PER-VIEW match if you're a SANE wrestler. I mean, what the fuck, Sophia?! You can't work your way up the ranks by, say, WINNING matches, so you throw a hissy fit and say you're gonna lay down? And you have the fucking nerve to say Crystal Hate doesn't deserve a Television Championship shot?! Grow a pair, bitch! That's the best way NOT to deserve a damn title shot, and you sure doesn't deserve one now. You're giving more and more reasons for the management to be pissed of at you. Enjoy your Douche of the Week award; that's the only accomplishment you'll be getting.

While you certainly make some excellent points here, Aly, there’s one thing you have to keep in mind. Most people think of the Douchebag of the Week award as some sort of accomplishment, and we all know that Sophia Black and accomplishment are so opposite of each other, you could probably create a magnetic field using Sophia and a title belt as the poles. Anyways, my runners up...
- Elizabeth Blackwell (As someone who loves more than his fair share of lesbo-fondling, even I had to take a step back and go WHAT THE FUCK? over the way she molested Tabatha Belmont)
- Starla McCloud (Spekaing of lesbo-fondling, Alex Adonis has somehow managed to get his way into a lifetime of three-ways with two smokin’ redheads (the bastard!). Starla, however, seems to be a bit on the cold fish side. Buzzkill.)

Hey kids!

So, with Thanksgiving just a week away, I figure it’s time to sit back and reflect on all the blessings in my life. Like how I have a good job with the best two wrestling companies in the world today. Like how I’ve got me a roof over my head (not the Thompson’s, despite seemingly prevailing opinion), food on my table, and discs in my X-Box 360. And like how my single client, for all her goody-goodiness, is one of the hardest working, most dedicated women in the business today.

But most of all, I’m thankful for the fact that you loyal readers have recognized my greatness, and named me the FFW Most Influential person of the year. And of course, I’m thankful for said greatness as well, but this is about me giving back to you. It’s really touching that despite all the cries of ‘fat slob!’, and ‘stupid troll’, and ‘take a goddamn shower already’ (by the way, have! And I won that match, so you really can’t deny it was a valid strategy!), you guys understand what’s really important around here, and that is that whatever I say is God’s honest truth. Honestly, your vote and your dedication to reading this column make me feel like a prophet of awesomeness. I shall endeavor to provide you with the same amount of high quality insight and analysis in the coming year, just as you should all endeavor to recognize that I do the next time FFW year-end awards come up. Two in a row, baby. We can make it happen.

But, in the meantime, I’m going to ask you all to put your money where your mouth is. You see, as influential as I am, I don’t have all that much real power around here. I think it needs to change. You see, we have a GM of Velocity, the illustrious Mark Horton. But... where’s the same for Breaking Point? Seriously, I’m more influential than Cody Kincaid, you guys just voted it! Besides, poor Cody’s overworked to death anyways. So, let’s make the following hash-tag trend, and make it happen people!

Anyways, now the sappy Sally Fieldness is out of the way, let’s get going. Violent Night is just around the riverbend, and like Pocohontas, we’re paddling for it, without any fucking clue what’s actually going to happen when we get there. Just so long as there isn’t a creepy old lady in a tree (or a Alyson Summers return- we have a new, better Aly now!), it’s gonna be a good night.

RANKINGS
Holy moly! 2012 has come early to the FFW it seems, because we have had a massive rapture here, and when the dust settled, we’re looking at a whopping EIGHT people being bumped from the rankings this week. With only one person debuting (Alysson Gardner), that means an unprecedented drop of seven people, so that means only thirty-seven ranked individuals this week. Bummer (unless you’re towards the bottom, in which case you generally move up by default)

Let’s see whos gone... well, first there’s Gia Van Zant (last ranked 44th), and Jen Saint (43rd). Both ladies were thoroughly embarassed in their debut, and were set to face each other in hopes for redemption- neither showed up. So seriously, fuck em (and not in a good way). The Lovehearts (Destiny: 40th, Traci: 41st) are gone as well, to the sadness and sorrow of no one- unless they come back. And former Chase for the Crown participant Sarah Richardson (38th) has been bumped as well, to the relief of mammary glands fedwide.

More newsworthy is the sudden bouncing of Bounce & Pounce (Hayley: 16th, Ignis: 18th), who, despite being the de facto #1 contenders to Pink Inc at the moment, just haven’t seem to have been able to get in that ring to compete. Even more noteworthy is Isabella Pazzini (9th). Apparently Samantha’s determined that the best way to hurt her former best friend is to leave her off the shows entirely. However, with Wolf Ramsey now managing Izzy, that should change, given that Wolf is the second-most competent manager in FFW.

Alright, now for the actual wrestlers themselves. Remember- only the top 25 gets the honors here, so that means there’s twelve people on this roster who should be thankful they even have a job to begin with, instead of worrying about where in the heirarchy they stand. Although it has been confirmed that the woman in the 36 spot has been released, and this will be her final ranking. Anyways, those people are...

#25- ALYSSA FOXWORTH [-1]
So with thanksgiving just around the corner, the question is what are our lovely ladies in FFW thankful for. For Ms. Foxworthy, her money, relative beauty, and the fact she’s fucking our boss’s brother are all certainly perks in her life. But the biggest gratitude that Alyssa oughta have is that she’s actually in the Chase for the Crown finals, where she has a puncher’s chance. Not much of a puncher’s chance, but one nonetheless.

#24- ARABELLA DE ROSSI [+2]
She struggled heavily against Wendy in that six-woman tag match, but otherwise did a decent job of holding her own in her first ever FFW main event. No match for her at the PPV, so we won’t be seeing one half of the VIOLENT Femmes in action at VIOLENT Night. Guess she has to play cheerleader for Colleen... although the thought of her dressing up like Allison Deas is kinda scary. Moreso than normal, when it comes to Arabella.

#23- JO MCFARLANE [+9]
Yeah, I can’t believe I have her ranked this high either. I mean, it was a six woman tag match, she took out the lowest ranked member of the other team, and she needed a kendo stick to do it. But... considering what Jo’s BEEN doing, it’s a definite step in the right direction. Now, can she take another one, and best Wendy at Violent Night, in a match that’s turning uglier and more personal by the minute? No.

#22- DESIRAE KAIN [-4]
*FFW UNITY TAG TEAM CHAMPION*
After becoming the Future Shock Season 4 champion, and pulling off a monster upset in becoming the new tag team champions with Arianna, Desi took a definitive step back this time around, taking two tough losses- one to Casey Atherton, one to the A-List. She’s reeling, but hardly out of it however, as the Chase for the Crown- and a television championship title shot- loom ahead. But first she’s gotta overcome Eileen Amaro, and going by the way things are, that’s not going to be a small feat.

#21- CASEY ATHERTON [+6]
Wasn’t there someone else who was labelled the Future Shock Killer? Ah, well fuck it, because the true FSK is here in Casey. I mean, she’s taken out Alyson Summers, the Season 3 champion. She’s taken out Desirae Kain, the season 4 Champion. All that’s left is for her to down the season 2 (FFW TV Champion Sophie Richards), and the season 1 (Former FFW Ultraviolence Champion Raven Wicked) winners. For Casey’s sake, let’s hope the inevetable showdown against Raven is in a match that won’t see her pretty face get hacked up.

#20- CRYSTAL HATE [+3]
She doesn’t need to prove it by taking liberties with people, but the fact of the matter is, that Crystal Hate is every bit as cruel and vicious as Sophia Black is. And here’s the difference- Crystal actually performs well in the ring too, and doesn’t resort to whining about what she’s not being handed on a silver platter. Hate damn well better win at Violent Night- after the Tabatha Belmont booking fiasco, the TV title doesn’t need further degradation by letting Sophia Black have a go at it.

#19- KARA HARRINGTON [-1]
No Violent Night match for Kara, which actually probably sits well with her, as she’s made it clear that her eyes are on the No Surrender title, the process of crowning the first champion being on hold until after the PPV. It’ll be interesting to see who Kara gets as her qualifer match. Until then though, we probably won’t be seeing much of her.

#18- QUEEN MACHINE- [+4]
Her only wins are over Rebbecca Valentine and Tabatha Belmont, so maybe I’m overinflating Jenny’s stock here. But she’s definitely made a splash here in FFW, pissing off Kaitlynn Stryfe, and getting booked in her first PPV match against Emma McIntyre. A win there, and QM’s presence in the Top 20 will be more than justified.

#17- KELLY MCGUFFIN [+4]
Given that she’s only being booked about once a month, it’s seriously hard as hell to get a solid grasp on Kelly’s prowess in that ring, although she hasn’t taken a loss yet. Still, as long as she’s been here now, to not find her way onto a PPV is somewhat troubling. Maybe she’ll be out for Cold Blooded.

#16- HANNA ELLIOT [+15]
No, I’m serious. That is how HUGE Hanna’s upset of the #1 contender to the Evolution Championship was. It probably was the single most eye-opening in ring performance in the last six months, and it means that Hanna’s finally turned the corner from cute little novelty rookie to a full-fledged FFW roster member. She’s gotta keep that momentum going into the PPV against Casey Atherton, though. It won’t do her any favors to sufffer a letdown match here.

#15- EMMA MCINTYRE [+2]
So now comes the nasty $64,000 question- which Emma McIntyre is going to show up at Violent Night? Are we going to see the Emma who knocked off Robbyn Helmsley, and took Stacey Mackenzie to her absolute limit in the Femme For All, or are we going to see the Emma who spent three months in FFW with her only win being over Traci Loveheart. Like her opponent, Emma’s got some serious stuff to prove at Violent Night

#14- TARA THUNDER [-3]
It’s seriously put up or shut up time for Thunder, and even more so after her shocking loss to Hanna Elliot. Tara’s been ranting and raving about conspiracies ever since she lost that ladder match to Wendy Briese a couple months ago, well, there’s none here for her. It’s either she beats Crystal Hilton, or she doesn’t. There will be no excuses or ways out of it.

#13- ROSE JENKINS [==]
Considering the people below her, it’s hard to justify dropping Rose below any of them, although by all standards, she should have. Rose is slumping, and she’s taken four losses in a row (although one was a battle royal, and one was by DQ, but she hardly did herself any favors in those matches either). Well, if she’s going to break out of it there’s no time like the present, and I’m sure 10,000 light tubes surrounding ringside will be a hell of a motivator.

#12- RAVEN WICKED [+3]
If history is any indication, then Raven will be walking out of Violent Night the new Ultraviolence Champion, given the title’s history of bouncing back and forth. But (and considering both women, those are some big butts), Rose and Camilla are going to have some serious reservations about that idea.

#11- SOPHIE RICHARDS [+1]
*FFW TELEVISION CHAMPION*
Like last week, technically Sophie oughtn’t be ranked due to noncompetition, but I’m giving her a pass. She’s back at Violent Night, and she’s defending her title against Tabatha Belmont. Smart money (fuck, looking at the odds in Vegas, ALL money) says that she’s going to be walking out still the champion. But this is FFW...we’ve seen some pretty fucked up shit happen before.

#10- CRYSTAL HILTON [-1]
*FFW EVOLUTION CHAMPION*
Uninspired. That’s honestly the best word I can think of to describe Hilton’s win over the admittedly uninspiring Sophia Black. Still, a win’s a win, which reverses a definite trend that Crystal’s been having. But she’s got to step it up considerably if she wants to walk out of Dallas with the title. And remember- four months ago, Tara beat Crystal, but Crystal has also proven she can rebound from previous losses rather nicely.

#9- EILEEN AMARO [+5]
One to watch in 2012? FUCK. THAT. If you’re waiting until the ball drops to care about the Tsunami, you have stupidly robbed yourself of getting to view THE hottest rising star in FFW right now. She’s pinned Rose Jenkins. She’s the favorite in the Chase for the Crown. She could probably balance the damn budget without raising taxes or lowering our defense capabilities. Oh yeah, and she’s remarkably funny to talk to on Twitter, too.

#8- STARLA MCCLOUD [==]
Here’s a fun fact- Starla hasn’t been in a PPV match since the Fatal Four-Way TV title match at Conviction. I don’t think this is so much as Samantha not wanting her, but rather saving her, until she can be of most use. And where she can be of most use is to hammer home the No Surrender title for the A-List.

#7- WENDY BRIESE [-2]
Wendy’s being ever increasingly called the White Knight for her (self) righteousness and her fairly well-defined ideas of good and evil. And I know my client ain’t much for nicknames, but here’s another one that should be considered: “The Go-Home Girl”. Wendy’s main evented the Breaking Point before the PPV (aka, the “go-home show”) for Unstoppable, Sin & Sacrifice, and now Violent Night. You may not have noticed this, but PPV buys continually are increasing. There’s a reason why she’s Breakout Star of the Year, kids.

#6- KAITLYNN STRYFE [+1]
One thing that’s remarkable- Kitty’s been awfully quiet during the hissy-fit catfights that have been going down on Twitter between her last PPV opponent (Kat Stryfe), and her next one (Scarlett Kincaid). Of course, that’s generally because she’s involved in one of her own with Queen Machine. Still, ladies, let’s get some bitchiness going here! RAWR! HISS! MATCH OF THE NIGHT!

#5- SCARLETT KINCAID [-1]
Scarlett came up big in the awards, winning “Face of the Year” (no-brainer), and “Finisher of the Year” (again, no brainer, especially after Sin & Sacrifice). But those awards won’t help her against the surprisingly skunked Kaitlynn Stryfe, and without any warm up match to work off the ring-rust, Scar’s got a hell of a job cut out for her. Still, she beat Kitty when it WAS an upset. There’s no way to believe she can’t beat her when it won’t be.

#4- CAMILLA PAZZINI [+2]
*FFW ULTRAVIOLENCE CHAMPION*
So why is the “Heel of the Year”, who’s held a novelty title for the majority of that tenure, ranked higher than the former FFW Champion “Face of the Year”? Well, evil always triumphs. Because GOOD IS DUMB!

#3- COLLEEN [-1]
Even though she never won the FFW Championship, the Wrestler of the Year award seems well-deserved for Colleen, because there’s no denying that she lights it up in the ring every time she enters. Still, interesting idea of Colleen testing the goodwill of the FFW faithful by demanding that they demand a title shot, as a way of ‘putting their money where their mouth is.’ I’d call it a Sophia Black move, but she’d probably then rip out Sophia’s intestines, and strangle me with them.

#2- STACEY MACKENZIE [+4]
And then, there was one. Stacey did a great job in the Femme For All, downing Crystal Hate, Emma McIntyre, and Colleen to earn the title shot at Sin & Sacrifice. Remember, kids, this is a rematch that occured just a couple short months ago, one where Stacey dominated, but had to suffer a time-limit draw when all was said and done.

#1- KATHERINE STRYFE [==]
*FFW CHAMPION*
Kat escaped her fate, and the streak, by sandbagging and turtling the last time she faced Stacey, and got away with it. But an hour is a hell of a lot longer timeframe than fifteen minutes, so it doesn’t look like Katherine is going to be getting out of this one so easily. Of course, she’s gotten a new strategy, it seems- title belt cheapshots to the skull, which will allow her to escape with a DQ loss, but still be the champion. It’s good to know that Kat’s keeping her options open.

And once again, the mountain has been climbed to the top! It should be interesting to see how much shuffling goes on after Violent Night.

INCOMING!
HOLY MOTHERFUCKING CRAP! I don’t know how we’re actually going to manage to cram THIRTEEN matches into this show, but that’s what the billing says, and god help us, we’re going to actually get this done in one day. Hopefully by the Apple Cup. Danny needs to see Wazzu die.

Well, Van Zant vs. Ferrari was SUPPOSED to kick us off, but since Gia’s a no-showing twat, that match got cancelled, and Lumina just got shuffled into the next match, making it a triple-threat between Ferrari, Alysson Gardner, and Summer, who’s making her FFW debut. Ferrari’s been here the longest, but she’s also the most dreadfully inconsistent woman on the roster, the lastest being when she threw up on herself facing Kassandra. Gardner’s hot (in more ways than one!), and after her win over Black and Deas, she’s looking like a clear favorite, but don’t rule out Summer... I’ve heard many promising things about this woman

Future Shock fallout is next on the dockett, Season 3 vs. Season 4... when the champion of both, Casey Atherton, takes on Hanna Elliott. Obviously, Hanna’s never getting anywhere near to having the right to call herself the champion of anything Future Shock related, but she’s got the single biggest win between the two of them in her stunning upset of Tara Thunder. Bragging rights are at stake here- and perhaps a little jostling for some title contention as well.

Both Emma McIntyre and Queen Machine are wrestlers that look like they should be much further up the card, but haven’t gotten to that point (Emma due to inconsistency, Queen Machine due to having a whopping two matches). Obviously a good showing here should help the winner out, but I atually don’t see the loser sliding back too much.

Cheers and Jeers (that’d be Allison Deas and Elizabeth Showtime, making her FFW) debut goes taggy with the Danger Queens. It’s weird to think that just a few months ago, the DQ’s were bonafide favorites to become the next tag team champions. They’ve been passed by quite a few teams as the divison heats up, and they can’t afford to let another squad, especially one of air-headed rookies, pass them up.

I’ve already made my opinion on who needs to win the Hate-Black match fairly well known. This is a golden opportunity for Crystal Hate, who experienced some success in the early going, but was obviously in over her head in the Femme For All. The TV title, and a showdown with Sophie Richards, would be a great path for her. The catch is to watch her back after winning... Sophia’s proven to be a sore loser.

The Chase for the Crown concludes, and the second installment doesn’t seem as epically closely matched as the first one was. Eileen Amaro’s been shredding it, and she’s the clear favorite here, although you’d be a fool to count out Desirae Kain, given her tendency to pull off wins in tough situations. Alyssa’s the dark horse here, she’s going to have to be on her toes if she hopes to steal this- but then again, she’s done well stealing matches before.

If Samantha Star still has revenge on her mind, it couldn’t be more inspired than the next match. Colleen’s coming off a tough loss in the Femme For All Finals, and has a chance to take some frustration out on Shane Sanders, who returns to PPV after sitting out S&S. Shane’s been snakebitten on the PPV’s before, losing two controversial matches to... someone who’s name escapes me at the moment. But Colleen doesn’t need shenanigans- she’ll just kick your ass.

The best thing about the FFW TV title match is that now we can FINALLY stop hearing about the mystical match contract that Sophia Black gave up. That, and we’ll finally start having our contenders based on wrestling ability, not how well they fuck Christian Kincaid. If Tabatha even comes close to winning this, let it replace Elliot over Thunder as shock result of the year.

The key to the next match is how riled up Jo can get Wendy, and throw her off her gameplan. Wendy’s always tried to be stoic, but she’s letting it slip here, and you can tell that Jo, and the A-List in general, have her pissed off. That’s not a good place to be in when you’re walking into a match where you have little to gain, and a hell of a lot to lose here. Still, it will be quite theraputic once Wendy gets in the ring, beats Jo, and gets to move on

I can definitely say I’m happy that my client is wrestling BEFORE the Ultraviolence match, considering that there’s no possible way you’re going to effectively clean up all the glass here. Now, I looked it up at Home Depot, and a pallet of 1,200 fluorescent lightbulbs costs about $1500. Factoring in that we’ll need eight full pallets, and then a third of another pallet, we’re looking at about a $18,500 price tag on the weaponry for this match. Knowing Samantha, its probably tax deductable as a business expense. But the real expense will be on the bodies of Raven, Camilla, and Rose... this is gonna be BRUTAL.

The Evolution Championship strikes me as a must win match for both women, as neither has exactly lit the world on fire over the past couple of weeks. Crystal snapped a losing streak against Sophia Black, but then again, it’s Sophia Black. Tara just took a stunning loss to Hanna Elliot. To the victor go the spoils, but the loser here is going to see a lot of her momentum spoiled.

You’re gonna hear about it a ton in the coming weeks- Scarlett beat Kitty on the first ever FFW show. Kitty paid Scarlett back at Unstoppable, but you could definitely make an argument that Scarlett had given more of herself in that match up to that point, as Kitty kinda rode Kat (which ended up working out REAL well in the end). Scar’s gotta go all out here, but keep her head. She’s got nothing to prove by going airborne- it’s bit her in the butt to many times.

And finally, the FFW title match, consisting of the Dreamkiller (I don’t care WHAT she says, “Simply Better” is a stupid nickname), and the Nightmare (and I don’t care what SHE says, the anorexic crack whore look is not beautiful). Once again, all signs point to a disappointing night for Katherine Stryfe... but she’s pulled a win out of her ass too many times to be counted out. Just remember- Stacey’s gotta beat Kat, not the other way around. Considering Kat’s actions their first match, and in that confrontation on Breaking Point, that is going to be a key difference.

AWARDS!
Well, kids, I’ve been wanting this one for a while now, but considering her husband is running our company (my offer to help still stands, Cody!), and she’s been a bit injured, it’s been hard to get Scarlett to do the awards. Well, the wait is over, and I couldn’t be more excited to hear what the FFW Face of the Year, former (and likely future) FFW Champion has to say. So without any further ado... SCARLETT KINCAID!

Match of the Week - Stacey Mackenzie Vs Colleen
One of the best matches to have been aired on either Velocity or Breaking Point, that had everything. A technical masterclass, hold and counter hold, blood, determination and a never say die spirit from two of the best women on the roster who made it painfully clear just how much a chance to Main Event an FFW Pay Per View for the biggest prize in women’s wrestling today meant to them. Match of the week by a long shot and would probably have been a contender for Match Of The Year had it not fallen just outside the nomination window.

Had Scar said anything else, I’d have seriously been questioning her sanity. I seriously considered doing away with the runner ups in this category, it was that far and away the best. Nevertheless
- Kitty vs. Kassandra (Shockingly close match, that saw Kassandra nearly pull off a monster upset. Either she’s gettin’ better, or Stryfe is struggling worse than we thought.)
- Gardner vs. Black vs. Deas- Any match that sees Sophia Black get punk’d is a winner in my book. But the debut by Gardner was astounding, and Deas put up a hell of a fight too (still have a problem saying that). Definitely a match worth noting.

Winner of the Week - Hanna Elliot
A close run contest for this award that could quite easily have gone to Eileen Amaro for her plucky against the odds victory over Rose Jenkins or to Kassandra for coming within a hair of beating Kitty (and would have had it not been for a fluke of ring positioning). Hanna Elliot however just edges them out as Winner of the Week as she joins the list of Future Shock Alumni on the fast lane. Surely after scoring a victory over the number one contender to the Evolution Championship, she can expect to see and hear her name included in the list of people in line for a shot at whoever the champion might be following Violent Night.

Hanna’s come a long way from when she had to flash her goods to get away with a win.
- Eileen Amaro (If it wasn’t Hanna, it was her. Eileen proved her tossing of Rose at Byte This wasn’t a fluke, and after two very difficult losses to start her career, she continues to roll. Don’t be too surprised to see her in the Winner of the Week Section next week as well)
- Jo McFarlane (There’ s no if ands or buts about it... going into the fight of her life against WEndy, she needed whatever momentum she could get. That was some serious momentum.)

Loser of the Week - Colleen
Unusual choice right? After all she was named Femme Fatale Of The Year (and congratulations on that accolade) in this last cycle of shows, while Charity Deas got bumped from the PPV, lost to her sister and lost her hair. Collen did lose the finals of the Femme For All however and with it her chance at the FFW Championship at Violent Night. Then she seemed to meltdown on Breaking Point for all the world to see, begging the fans to write in and demand she gets a chance - while Charity at least took her defeat and forfeit with a measure of dignity. Colleen on the other hand...well I know she appreciates hearing the truth and the truth is that she is coming across a little desperate.

Apparently talking to Samantha and asking for a favour is too easy for Colleen (though maybe it’s just she’s been to Miss Star and didn’t get the time of day?) and she would prefer to go the “hard” route of begging and bribing the fans to write in or hashtag twitter to get what she wants. Rather than the hard route of not choking in the big matches, rather than the hard route of not wasting opportunities, she feels the key to success lies in bribing the fans with her silence. She talks about me losing the Evolution Championship and getting handed a shot - that I didn’t ask for and was as surprised as anyone to get - as justification. I can see what you are getting at Colleen, after all we both lost the Evolution title in a ladder match, a match that didn’t suit either of us. Difference is I had the heart to stick around to the end, I didn’t walk away, give in or throw my toys out of the pram and I was only beaten with the help of a faceful of Mace. Difference is I’ve made the most of my opportunities, I proved myself in the biggest of matches. I’ve never choked.

I wouldn’t say it was so much as begging as it was an attempt to cash in her chips. The catch is- I don’t think Col’s banked nearly as much as she thinks she has.
- Charity Deas (Yeah, every week she’s the loser of the week, but come on, punked by a woman who didn’t even acknowledge her as her sister in her shoot, and lost her hair. That’s a bad week for anyone)
- Desirae Kain (Kain still has a lot going for her, but that loss to Atherton was definitely a bump in the road, as was losing to the Violent Femmes, which gives another team a staked claim on Pink Inc’s tag titles.)

Douchebag of the Week - Casey Atherton
In my opinion this one is kinda obvious. Casey was the first name that came to mind for this award having definitely rained on Desirae’s parade as she brought her back down to earth with a bump following her Championship winning exploits. The way she celebrated as though she had just won the FFW Championship and stole the Future Shock Season Four Title that Desirae had gone through hell to win - all after getting a huge assist from Adonis to boot - just makes her even more of a Douchebag. The woman is delusional and Starla should have been treating her from the start not employing her. No doubt she will add this to her list of accolades next time we have the pleasure from hearing from her and will try to use this to further justify whatever claim she thinks on greatness.

Then give the douchebag of the week award to Starla, for faiiling in her psychological profession yet again! I mean, seriously, the poor girl tries hard, and gets so much crap. She just... misunderstands some things. That... really shouldn’t be misunderstood. She’s still hot.
- Gia Van Zant & Jen Saint (Seriously? Best women’s fed on the planet, and you decide not to show up? Especially Saint, who was lucky to get a second chance after losing to Charity Deas. Don’t let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya, ladies.)
- Katherine Stryfe (Not so much the blindsiding with the title, but for the extremely powerful logic-based declaration that it wasn’t okay to use weapons in the ULTRAVIOLENCE division, but it was perfectly okay OUTSIDE of it. Just another “Kat-ism” for the collection

Okay, and normally, we conclude our column with the Sound off, but participation hasn’t been very hot for that, so after much soul searching, I’ve decided to pull the section. But don’t worry, kids! I have another idea... a little something I call...
